Lazy as fuck apparently

Ok, I'll allow Shearer, Solano and Robert as they were all still very good players at the very start of the timeframe. Owen Cabaye Ben Arfa had the talent but overall Cabaye was a big fish in a small pond as was shown at PSG. Luiz has been a starter for top CL clubs since he first burst onto the scene. You're underrating him massively here based on mistakes he made years ago

"Whether Luiz is good enough". He'd be the best player we've had in about 15 years What? He's certainly good enough for us, more than good enough. But is he fuck anything like the best player we'd have had for the last 15 years, what a massive load of shit. Who's been better? Luiz was probably in the top ten best players in the league last season In a dominant side that walked the league aye, he's always been a classy but flawed defender. As a defender he'd be one of the best we've had for years, but the best player overall that we've had in 15 years?, nah I don't agree. I would say Colo at his best is one of the best players we've had in the last 15 years and Luiz is above that. Again, who's been better? IMO him and Coloccini are quite similar, I prefer Coloccini but I admit that might be bias. Woodgate was a better defender IMO. Like I said though we aren't talking just defenders, we've had better players on our books over the last 15 years than Luiz IMO. That's not to say I wouldn't be very happy to see him here. Name a few

Alternatively he wants to spend the money he does have elsewhere. This was someone he was willing to bring in during the summer, Dummett then got crocked in the first f***ing match. My guess is it's just an easy win. Groundwork already done, wages already discussed. Player now even more out of favour. My concern is I can't see him being a 'main' target. The Summer was slightly differed as he just wanted 'bodies'. But if there was money to spend albeit not a 'war chest' I would have thought he'd have spent some of it on a proven Left Back (assuming that's where he's play). Not that easy in Jan/with takeover/Ashley Agreed - but surely we could do better than someone who's barely played. Not really the signing you need when you're fighting to stay in the League - IMO. Like who? Anyone we get is going to be a risk

I don't think anyone's getting excited really

He played one game for Watford

Promising signs that we're doing business this early, even if it is only a loan

That's Duncan Castles' coach of the year 2017 you're talking about. Have a bit of respect

Scenes when Hamsik leaves Napoli on the verge of becoming their all time top scorer to join relegation threatened Newcastle

Was it Rafa who tried Luiz in midfield?

Bilbao can suck a dick! I wouldn't take any pleasure in seeing him play for a club of their lowly stature Bilbao are a great club

Bravo is generally canny in shoot outs

The Second Captains football podcast talked to the bloke who wrote that today btw

Good read. Had heard a bit about this on a podcast in the summer with James Montague who wrote "The Billionaires Club". Would be a real moral dilemma if we got taken over by scum like this. They make Ashley look like a saint

Winds me up an unreasonable amount when people put a 0 or 10 in this thread

Why do Puncheon hate Sterling so much? Would be quite the turn up if Puncheon assaulted Sterling in a racially motivated attack

I don't think we need to be that specific, we just need a GK who isn't shit and is willing to come. Surely Reina is still gonna be the target? He's the starting keeper for a team challenging for Serie A, so nah

Love how it's an actual picture of Anita

Best keeper of all time made a mess of that
