  1. Should really be doing better with some of the players they have
  2. There's probably a middle ground between Pompey and choosing one of the richest couple of clubs in the world. Again. No idea why everybody wants him to drop down mind though, He started at the very top ( after the initial stint with Barca B) and was successful at it. Nobody asks any other manager to drop down and do it with a lesser team so why does it apply to him? Same goes with Messi, everyone for years wanted him to leave Barca and " challenge" himself but for some reason this doesn't apply to any other footballer. It's all a load of bollocks IMO, i know Deuce wasn't being serious but just in general the whole mindset baffles me. Messi's stayed at the same club though, and a footballer isn't like a manager, they can't have an effect on an entire club in the same way. What's the point in "wanting a new challenge" that's not actually a challenge? Is he just going to go round each European country managing the richest, most successful club and hoovering up the credit for it? Why not try Juventus, Pep, that'll be really interesting for you. Then give Basel a shot, and I hear Celtic could do with a 15th consecutive title. Yawn. I wouldn't say it's unique to him though. Most of the managers considered Europe's best will turn their nose up at any job that doesn't come with either 1st or 2nd as a cast-iron guarantee even if the janitor was managing them. I've got far more respect for someone like Simeone than any of them. Saying Bayern wasn't a challenge is massive hindsight though, when he agreed to take over mid season Dortmund had won the league back to back and nobody saw them winning the treble and they hadn't won the league in 4 years(which is ages for them). It's alright now but Heynckes was under massive pressure at the time and didn't have anywhere near the praise he does now. Also Simeone ? the same Simeone who flopped at Catania and did ok at Santander? he did no different than any other manager, he took the best job available to him it's not like he started at someone bigger and dropped down to Atletico Madrid. Like i said the whole mindsight is utterly baffling, no one has a problem with Ancelotti jumping from ready made job to ready made job ( and if it isn't ready made he has the finance available to fix it) and he isn't the only one. But for some reason there's pre conceived expectation that Pep should challenged himself at a lesser team when it doesn't apply to anyone else, not to mention the ridiculous idea that if he doesn't win the treble every year he's flopped when that has never applied to anyone else in the history of the sport. Let's look at it the other way. Taking over a Champions League winning team and then getting comprehensively beaten in Europe two years in a row and he still gets praised as the best manager in the World by a lot of people
  3. All he really has to do is get the players on his side and command respect from then which I think he'll be able to do
  4. Tbf Ranieri absolutely fucked Greece up before taking the Leicester job
  5. How is Hiddink a fraud? A Fraud is harsh but he's clearly nowhere the coach he was years ago, shown by the fact Pardew outcoached him Aye but it's ridiculous calling him a fraud. Won the Champions League with PSV, did well with South Korea, Russia, was a pretty poor refereeing display and a moment of magic from Iniesta away from getting to a Champions League final with Chelsea. Not the CV of a fraud Not sure he won the Champions League with PSV 1992er mag cunt

  7. He only played there about 5 times for us
  8. He's gone through half the season and had one of the best teams in the league a point above the relegation zone and none of his players seemed like they wanted to win games for him. Deservedly sacked
  9. You've got to love people who would rather have a charismatic manager with a shit style of football instead of a boring guy with a good style of football. Not like watching the sport actually matters
  10. there goes a character and you would rather have Mcclaren Garde etc who have zero personality ,the sooner he is back in the premiership the better as it will be a poorer place without him imho Nah he plays shit football and is a horrible cunt. Good riddance
  11. Thank fuck this cunt is finally gone. Can't wait for the third stint in ten years
  12. Agree with you as usual. I still think Heynckes' Bayern were better
  13. We don't have any full time players that are excellent for 90 minutes. Sissoko in terms of impact on our team is in our top three or four players Do you have an alarm that goes off, every time Sissoko is criticised? Agree with a lot that you say about him, mind. He certainly isn't crap. Just wildly inconsistent, for a number of reasons. Aye, I actually don't think he's a brilliant player or anything but I just think people are quicker to criticise him than others. For example at the weekend he didn't play great for large periods but created two great chances we should have scored yet he gets more abuse than Wijnaldum and De Jong who didn't create many or any chances
  14. He probably was but that was like 4 goals. I would be inclined to think that if you are getting less than 5 goals as a midfielder that when your do score it is a bit of a fluke
  15. We don't have any full time players that are excellent for 90 minutes. Sissoko in terms of impact on our team is in our top three or four players
  16. Total and utter fucking lunacy, and I can barely tolerate Sissoko. I wouldn't sell Sissoko for fucking Townsend, but I wouldn't be against selling Sissoko if it meant I didn't have to watch him fanny around the first 60 minutes and replace him with someone who can be arsed to play a full game. Don't think we should sell the player who creates the majority of our chances while in a relegation battle like. Maybe at the end of the season
