  1. Would put yous about -£25m this window. -£50m last season, about -£40m the season before that Shouldn't be a problem since the record breaking sponsorship deals, new TV money, trimmed wage bill (500k/week reduced) etc. It's actually strange that the only clubs with notable spending in top 8 of last season now are Spurs, City and Everton.
  2. To be fair, our net spend is negative so far, so a marquee signing shouldn't be a surprise. Still can't see it happening though.
  3. If they play well then I don't think Jol will give 2 s***s about off the ball work rate and nor should he. That's true, but it will make it easier for opposition team to find space when they have the ball vs. Fulham. Reckon they could struggle this year. They are shit away from home and Craven Cottage isn't exactly the scariest and most hostile place to go to. A bad start and Jol could go IMO. I remember our game vs Fulham at Anfield last season, which was by far the easiest game of the season and zero fight was shown by their team due to their lax attitude and total lack of pressing of opposition.
  4. Bent having medical at Fulham. Bent-Berbatov-Taraabt-Ruiz in one team .... immense off the ball work rate
  5. Who have they bought? i know they have submitted a lot of big offers but a lot of rejections it seems. Caulker 8M Cornelius 8M Medel 11M I think that's about it ?! I don't know much about this Cornelius fellow, but otherwise it's a rather unspectacular return for such an expenditure. Young Danish striker that had a break-through season last year. Displaced Bendtner in NT (following his ban), and could be this year's Benteke. FC Kobenhavn are bottom of Danish league now, after his sale firstly thats hardly much of an achievement considering how god awful he is and he's only played what 50 senior matchs? awful lot of cash for that and a huge amount of pressure on him to score the goals to keep them up. Medels a good player but mental, caulkers a good buy though No matter how awful Bentdner is in club level, his record for Denmark NT is pretty decent. Particularly against Portugal. But yea, Olsen is now fed up with him as well. The whole Denmark NT is in a crisis and I'm surprised Olsen still has his job after that 4-0 home loss vs. Armenia 2 months ago.

  7. Welbeck starting for England NT. may as well start Sammy Ameobi. Baffling

  9. Paulinho's value has gone down from 8 to 7.
  10. Linked heavily with Willian now after missing out on Mkhitaryan and Diego Costa. Not sure if he's worth the reported 30M price tag.
  11. Whilst that c*** Gold doubles ticket prices at the Boleyn ground to fund it, so the fans can now watch them play Liverpool for a mere £77. 250k per week? Cole = 90k/week Downing = 80k/week Carroll = 80k/week ridiculous I know....not sure what Comolli and Purslow were smoking offering those type of wages
  12. No one's denying that they were terrible transfers, all of them. Just happy that we got to offload them like that, never thought someone would want them. especially Joe Cole at 100k/week. Purslow and Hodgson's marquee signing
  13. West Ham buying Joe Cole, Carroll, and Downing off us. Paying us 21M, and decreasing the wage bill by 250k/week in the process. I fucking love Fat Sam.
  14. Requires Madrid to come in now. Henry has a history of keeping an unhappy player (with Red Sox), so wouldn't be surprised if he refused to sell even to Madrid. His statement last night, was pretty ruthless (and I didn't see it coming at all).
  15. Just back in training this week. Apparently looking sharp. Not sure if he'll start vs. Stoke (subject to change), but I fancy him to score quite a fair bit this year.
  16. http://i40.tinypic.com/n54qhw.png Changed the team. Got rid of Bale, since I think he'll eventually move despite recent news. More focus on scoring, rather than clean sheets. Only doubt is Paulinho for 8M.
  17. Everything in that post is okay except for the valuation. Why would a "he's a decent functional player when everything is going well" player cost 7-8M? Comparing it with current prices being paid for some players as average as Downing. Though, I suppose it doesn't apply to Newcastle judging by your post-Carroll transfers, which is fair enough.
  18. Sorry for proposing a different opinion boys. Though, I know I am over-dramatic with exaggerations at times.
  19. 22. Generally a very emotional and affectionate person though. Fantastic at making love as well.
  20. Really? Yea. I also locked myself in a room and refused to go out for a day when Torres handed in transfer request. I'm a lunatic, a lovely one at that.
  21. close to 60,000 tickets sold for unveiling of Higuain and Reina at Napoli today. Cried like a baby reading Reina's goodbye letter. Disgraceful behaviour by our club.
  22. O no doubt. I'd wank for 24 hours straight if we got to CL.but I'd cringe if players celebrated like that in dressing room and posted it on twitter. Same way I cringe at half the stuff the official LFC twitter account tweets. The 2012 League cup win, was our first trophy in 6 years, and had we lost it, we would have been on a 7 year trophiless run. so personally, I really enjoyed the win, and was very very very happy to win it. Big club or not, I had missed the feeling of winning silverware. I wasn't born to see us become a big club, and my lifetime is littered by Man United dominance. so Personally, I totally cherish any cup achievement by LFC no matter what. Because that's all I've seen and enjoyed by the club during my life-time. (22 years)
  23. Money involved in CL means, 4th spot is more valuable than winning an actual trophy (sad to be fair). I'd be chuffed to bits if we get 4th, but I'd cringe if we celebrate it like that. holding "#1" sign. Celebrated more famously than United winning the whole f***ing thing. Especially if the club has won f*** ALL for 8 years...but celebrating WINNING a competitive competition s***s all over celebrating being the 4th best team in the country. That's only me though. Let's see if you find it embarrassing if Newcastle won the league cup this year and celebrated like those LFC pictures. I actually wish your lot do it, so I can bump this. Man United who've been pissing trophies for the past 20 years, celebrated winning the league cup twice in a row a few years ago. P.S. the last photo is for league cup of 2003 if I ain't mistaken. beating our most hated rivals in the final. Yea, you'd be fucking embarrassed of beating Sunderland in a final to win a trophy. How would you dare celebrating it.
  24. What does this mean? They've had a massively better side than you lot for most of the last 20 years, get over it. Sure they have. No one has denied it. they have great domestic record (though poor since 2004)...but they are not a team that can gloat about their European pedigree. Qualifying for a competition is not an achievement, actually winning it (OR at least coming close) is an achievement. Yea, they've been in CL for 15 years in a row. we've probably been in 9 CLs at the same time period (too lazy to check the exact number), yet we've won the whole f***ing thing, and have reached more semi-finals and finals than them. Fact is, they will never come even close to winning the CL under Wenger. He's always been tactically inept in Europe. Jokes aside, I just f***ing hate Arsenal. Probably goes back to 2007 when their fans were singing still calling us "Liverhoof", their fans always gloating how they are the saviours of beautiful football and how every other team in PL except them is boring. And I watch football for football, not for the positive net spend on the balance sheet. Anyways, even if Suarez joins them, he'll jump the ship to Spain at earliest opportunity. Arsenal's "BIG SPENDING, WE HAVE SO MUCH MONEY" summer so far only consists of Yaya Sanogo. They were in the final in 2006 (I think). You don't get much closer than that. One final in 15 years. Pretty poor IMO, considering some of the teams Arsene has had in his disposal during this time period. They've also won the league 3 times and never fallen out of the top 4 in that time, keep cherry-picking achievements to make out Suarez should stay though. This has absolutely nothing to do with Suarez. I've always gone on about Arsene's poor European record. Let me clear this. Yes, I am a Liverpool fan. I am fully aware we are quite shit now, 7th best team in the country and having a very disappointing transfer window. My opinion on other teams doesn't necessarily translate to we are better than them. And I didn't question his domestic record, it's pretty good. Just talking about his European record (OMG WE ARE ALWAYS IN THE CL) CRINGE http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/05/20/article-2327380-19E07B03000005DC-175_634x454.jpg
