  1. Flogging Miggy means all of our attackers are right footed
  2. We’ve clearly accepted we won’t hit our primary goal of qualifying for the CL and are cashing in and making headroom for ourselves. Will be gutted if we let Miggy go he’s the personification of Eddie’s impact.
  3. Fair play, I thought they couldn’t agree the fee. I still don’t see how we will be able to agree a fee though, the price we would need would surely be more than they would be willing to pay.
  4. The Bayern president confirmed they are looking at two right backs to it all tally’s up. that being said, they walked away from Palhina in the summer when they couldn’t agree a fee, I expect the same to happen with Trips. The only thing which makes some sense is a decent fee for us but it doesn’t make sense for Bayern given his age. So my guess would be we hear noise about this for the rest of the window as Bayern try and force our hands but trips stays.
  5. That’s the issue right, some of our fans won’t considering moving which is of course up to them. Or we do what spurs did and rebuild on the current site but that or course presents its own challenges. No matter what we do we will have a lot of unhappy folk.
  6. I think everyone is in shock, it’s come out of nowhere. Nobody had him leaving it’s not something that make sense on the face of it. I’ll be gutted he’s been magnificent for us but the show must go on, if anything I’ll be disappointed in trips.
  7. Anyways if he wants to leave it’s time to show him the door and wish him the best as long as our terms are met. Nobody is bigger than the club.
  8. If we allow him to leave on loan then we are doing something wrong like. If he wants to leave then Bayern or whoever need to cough up a fee as we did with Athleti
  9. Seriously? a loan has no benefits for us mind, we would be stupid to agree.
  10. FFP is a protection racket for the established clubs but it scales right. The so called big 6 are protected from challengers but the also the rest of the league is shielded is from upstarts like forest who want to come up and cement the place in the league. to be frank, most clubs in the EPL don’t want to compete they just want to enjoy the gravy train and reap the rewards. FFP actually benefits most of the clubs when you look at it from a business sense.
  11. Yeah that’s two separate incidents though. From what I was hearing on some podcast they are being penalized again for the same breach (yes they should have tried to make the equivalent profit in the next financial year to neutralise it).
  12. They probably want to try and cash in. They are desperate.
  13. That’s the thing, im not even saying in right I’m saying it’s something to think about and question. We took a massive gamble and it’s backfired, we’ve regressed unfortunately and of course it’s an extent some regression was to be expected but we have to learn from it. the owners said we can’t afford to get one transfer wrong and through various circumstances we’ve got 3 wrong in one window. We’ve just got to hope we can salvage the season and push on next year.
  14. Pretty sure other players were sold for lesser fees that could have improved us. I’m not the scout. Im saying strategically putting all of your FFP eggs in one basket is risky.
  15. Diaby didn’t go for 65m. also, we have scouts for a reason
  16. We should have definitely got a midfielder in the summer, nmecha went for how much? The point im making is we knew we were close to FFP and we knew we needed a bigger squad and yet we went and bought the most expensive midfielder we possibly could. Maybe we needed to be more prudent and conservative. The bottom line is, this season isn’t panning out as anyone had hoped so it’s important we understand where we’ve gone wrong and learn for next time. Different opinions should be welcomed.
  17. How much was Diaby and Kudus?
  18. It does at this stage, I hope I’m wrong as I was with Gordon though.
  19. Our budget was clearly extremely limited, spinning 60m on a CM was a poor decision given the amount of other areas we evidently needed to strengthen and didn’t. Im aware of his record and his ability’s but could we afford him?
  20. We really need to avoid these BNPL deals too.
  21. Yeah but they’ve also thrown so much shit at the wall they are bound to get some right.
  22. Try and temper your frustrations it’s paper talk after all. I do hope we don’t climb into our shell though, the Tonali deal being such a disaster might scare them.
  23. To be frank, if we knew we were sailing so close to FFP spending so much on Tonali was a bit mad
