  1. Absolutely aye, was weird they dragged it up given precisely nothing has been done on this area. Meanwhile Chelsea abusing it right and left and even the whiter than white Liverpool will be spinning something up.
  2. It's obviously rancid but this is something which was discussed shortly after the takeover. It's in the long grass with a lot of other high level decisions.
  3. It's obviously not a myth like. How Huijsen is like the perfect example of this effect. Player prices are very much a case by case factor though.
  4. Now new posters coming in giving it the big IAM deserve the boot. Different cloth
  5. I understand both of the sentiments expressed here however I think it's actually very likely a player would say he's going somewhere without it actually happening. Ultimately the player can believe it as it's what hes been lead to believe by all parties but it still might fall through. I think Trafford would be a prime example of this. I also wouldn't view @Shadow Puppetsas an itk he's just passing on what he's heard and probably regretting it Very little to be gained being a NO Exclusive itk tbh.
  6. Let's not lump on to @Shadow Puppetslads he's just sharing what he gets. He's got no responsibility or control over what does or doesn't happen.
  7. This lads plays for Benfica? If so I imagine it will be a watching brief only. I don't imagine us spending significant sums on moonshots.
  8. Thanks for sharing this SP.
  9. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6434418/2025/06/19/newcastle-sporting-director-latest/
  10. Another left winger to add to Barnes and Gordon. Not many players make less sense for us than Rashford.
  11. I don't think he said that did he? Obviously that's a rancid look for him if so. i do think an air of inevitably existed though, we put the cart before the horse and rightfully so, Bruce had to go and given the speed we move at can you imagine where we would have been if we would have hired a DOF before Eddie?
  12. I hear your points but I think it's important to recognise that at any other club the sporting director is the authority on the football side with the power to dismiss the manager. Managers do not get get an input in who is hired for the sporting director role at any other club either mind. Obviously we've gone down the road of giving Eddie the keys which is understandable and some will say deserved but doing so has created dysfunction as well.
  13. We did but obviously as fans we don't know the extent of the engagement.
  14. Yup mouth breathing smoggy.
  15. Waugh mentions and has mentioned previously that Kudus is one of the players we've discussed. Which makes perfect sense.
  16. Rehash of already known information taken from Waugh's piece.
  17. Very good and valid points as always. Question two, would you prioritise your signings/should building around this. Unless we are pulling rabbits out of hats I don't see how we do. JP Trafford Top notch CB Top notch RW With our budget. I do concur with your thoughts though, I definitely could see Eddie wanting to press in a 442 and defending deep in a 451.
  18. Yeah reckon we are switching systems?
  19. Without a doubt, but it's questionable weather we would receive any decent offers. And plus even if we did our squad would have a gaping hole in central midfield to be filled.
  20. We would need a central midfielder if we were to let go of Willock and Longstaff. I also don't expect both to leave personally.
  21. Your right, if we're honest the club is a bit of a "black box" nothing much gets out about anything.
  22. The more I think about it, the more i come to the conclusion that our opinion of him is largely based around the plight of the club. We've not been able to spend for 3 transfer windows which has caused some to have a distain for his weekly copy and paste pieces which never come to fruition. Pod on the Tyne does them no favours as well.
  23. Without selling a Purple? No.
