Sell and buy back makes no sense. Once you buy back you have to amortise the fee you pay, you no longer have the benefit of the academy sale.
-
I don't think we can afford to loan him out. We practically know Long staff has no future and Willock is on dodgy ground as well. I do agree he was underused last season though.
-
You can stop threating about PSR. We are through the worst of it. Squad cost will be an issue for us BUT it hasn't been adopted as of yet. The current ffp regime is full of loop holes, the rules aren't serious anymore.
-
On another note, I wonder how much Dibling would be? His profile is very similar to Tino and Hall, obviously price would be the biggest factor.
-
That's a terrible deal. We don't need the immediate 30m we are in ok PSR shape we just can't get everything done this window imo. If he has the potential both us and the club believe he has, he will be worth a lot more than 30m so selling him for such a fee makes no sense. As we've qualified for the champions league again I expect our revenue for this coming season to be 400m, we are making very good progress.

He knows nought. Everything he's saying about us is pure conjecture. I mean he's a no mark journalist who is going on like he has sources around the world yet he writes for "Tbr football" formally tribal football which is more inaccurate than team talk

Miley wont be going anywhere. Logically speaking, we only sold Anderson because of PSR, so with that it mind, how are Palace going to meet an inflated asking price for him?

The EPL are so embarrassing

Hmm after thinking about it, IF the price is reasonable this could actually make sense. What I'm thinking is a shape which we would see as a 4-4-1-1 (Think Eddie at Bournemouth) but with a more a Simeone esque twist. Pope Tino NEW CB Botman Hall NEW RW Bruno Sandro AG/HB JP Isak The basic Idea would be the out of possession high press would be a 4-4-2 which provides great coverage and blocks a lot of passing lanes but dropping into a low block 4-5-1 with a lot of compression and a very narrow width funneling everyone outside to cross. Because the system is so narrow and we have a new CB who can run we can actually push up and leave our midfielders with less ground to cover (this is one of our huge issues, we ask a lot of our midfielders which is why we need 3 of them). Some issues exist of course, your pushing Big Joe who's one of our highest earners to be a squad player but he'd get a lot of minutes as he'd had to provide relief for 3 roles at least.

I think the Pedro signs and we suddenly go 4231 is for the birds to be frank. As mentioned, I don't think Bruno is suited to playing in a double pivot, I know he did it in France but this is the premier league, we don't have teams such as Toulouse and Reims knocking about. On stop of that, such a switch essentially means Joelinton is relegated to the bench, iirc Brazil tried to play him in a double pivot as it wasn't good. Back to the subject, I do agree a keeper who can play would be massive but if we work on the assumption we can't fill all of our holes this summer this is the one position id likely forego. A right winger and a centre half is paramount imo, not getting both of these would be a disaster imo. We also need another central midfielder, Relying on Willock and Miley seems like a massive gamble.
-
I do agree, having a keeper who can play as an extra man will help a lot but if I have to compromise a position this summer it's the one I'll choose.
-
And they finished below us getting themselves into ffp hell in the process. Id also argue Tielmans is more mobile then Bruno.
-
People really have PTSD from last summer
-
I thought we could change to a double pivot as well, but in doing so we ask too much of Sandro Bruno just can't about the pitch quickly enough so the gaps will be huge. Other option is back 3 but pushing both wide centre backs into midfield to help cover problem with that is the central defender has to be godly.
-
It's actually something we can get away with as well imo.
-
Not many but prioritising a 10/9 when we have isak doesn't make sense for us in this PSR world.
-
They want rid of him. Don't think he's particularly effective wide so unless we are changing system he isn't ideal fit for us at any rate.
-
Salary will be an issue for us and them id imagine. (Them if you believe they no longer pay big wages)
-
Given the situation I wouldn't be looking to pay much more than what they did. Not that I think he's a target of ours.
-
Btw why would Pedro be so expensive given his days are obviously numbered at Brighton.
-
Patrick Dorgu has a terrible agent.
-
Not sure if serious

As others have said, it's likely he doesn't want to be associated with whatever we are going to do. He clearly will have no influence over this transfer window.
