They aren’t actually swap, they are two separate transactions so both parties can book the revenue amortise the cost. It’s why the accusations of inflating fees are levelled because it’s beneficial to do so for FFP purpose.

I think you’re being harsh personally. Hall looked suspect defensively without a doubt but I thought he looked good on the ball from day 1. Ultimately I close an eye as it was a loan and didn’t count much towards this years FFP. I really like Barnes he can really offer a lot of threat, I think he’s shown he is primarily a goal scorer but he can score quite the variety of goals. Was he what we needed last summer? Probably not but I take nothing away from his ability. Tonali, as I write this he’s the worst signing in the clubs history and it isn’t close. I really hope that changes but as of now what he’s cost us is eye watering. Tino, I love Tino for me he’s the future but his injuries concern me, he’s had a couple of niggles and I really hope he isn’t fragile because for me he’s got it all.

Absolutely take your point too, to be very honest the influence is social media is over stated yes fans were angry but ultimately that’s all it is, a lot of noise. As we know very well football fans will complain about Mike Ashley whilst shoveling thousands of pounds into his pockets yearly. I think another aspect is the rate of growth of the league in the UK at this point is largely stagnant and future growth will come from overseas. We are called legacy fans for a reason.

(6 clubs getting points deductions kind does the opposite as it makes the lives of the other 14 easier as the competition is weakening. 2, legal challenge. 3, You lobby for the independent regulator and then lobby them regarding these rules (IF such a thing exists in the regulators mandate that is).

Again I don’t think it’s great no, but I see the logic despite my unease with it. Would much rather sell Minteh elsewhere (if we are indeed binning him) and use the money elsewhere. Again if we are adamant DCL is for us just wait a year and grab him on a free.

I don’t think so, I think the profile of our squad which is older established players who are generally below average just aren’t in demand our Crown Jewels are also very expensive.
