  1. We will be playing less games this season and I’m sure nobody wants to suffer another season of watching Almiron starting. We can still improve our first team and this should be the focus. Also, if Minteh is to be sold let’s make sure his position is improved. Absolutely nothing wrong with DCL and Kilman but as I said yesterday, I don’t want to hear the club crying about FFP when we keep shopping in waitrose for squad players at that.
  2. This, the training ground and the slowness regarding planning for SJP in general gives me the Impression the club is a legit investment for PIF and not a sports washing program where they will lavish billions. Time will tell of course but it’s something to keep in mind.
  3. As I posted when this came to light, our position should have been simple. The price is fixed and any crying in public about it will increase the price by 1 mill per time.
  4. I think one of the most frustrating aspect of this is the sheer amount of money left on the table by the lack of low hanging sponsors we somehow didn’t sign up since the takeover.
  5. I think the particular grievance in this case is the players we’ve been linked with since, people are interpreting this as sell someone with high potential to bring in mid table players who won’t improve much and will be depth/rotation options.
  6. Me either, so many of the rules seems to be either restraint of trade or anti competitive to me.
  7. Aye minteh was bought as an FFP flip I’ve got no doubts about it, it’s a shame as it appears his potential is significant. one of the interesting aspects of FFP is it’s basically destroyed the value of your average player who won’t get better, the entire market wants to buy upcoming players with potential. It’s why we’ve had so many issues shifting anyone.
  8. We aren’t getting 40m. It will be 20+ in total. If we’ve done this to buy an injury prone player who has probably peaked already I’m not sure what to say. I truly don’t understand how the club is navigating FFP. Most clubs have moved on from buying average premier league players at peak prices, maybe we should take note.
  9. Iirc Napoli offered them 35m euro last summer which they knocked back as well.
  10. Don’t want to hear us crying about FFP when we insist on shopping in waitrose.
  11. Yeah I get that, it just makes no sense for Everton to agree to it. Upside capped at 25m.
  12. Why would Everton agree to such a deal? Literally nothing in that for them.
  13. Didn’t nobody tell us this FFP swap nonsense is meant to involve players we don’t want to keep
  14. Imagine believing one of the biggest issues facing football is “gardening leave”. He’s a walking parody.
  15. Hope we didn’t waste too much time on this.
  16. I hope not, we have some clear holes that need addressing.
  17. Thought he was a 10 for them? Not sure can’t say o follow them closely.
  18. hes basically saying MGW is a CM or AMC and feels we have enough? We need more left footers though, if I’m not wrong we only have Miggy who’s left footed in our entire midfield and attack
  19. If I recall correctly the last day of the hearing is today.
  20. I hear you, my point was a wider one on why Chelsea may be more attractive overall given the recent success they’ve had. As others have pointed out, players do back themselves to do well so the Inexperience of the manager maybe a lesser concern, that tied in with the fact the manager will be binned if he fails makes it less of a concern. I think ultimately with the rules as they are today Chelsea have a higher ceiling than us sadly it’s why I’m crossing my fingers and hope city tear down RPT rules as this would be present us with the opportunity needed to bridge the gap.
  21. Your one swallow point is interesting, in that Chelsea are one of the most successful clubs over the last 20 years? Where as we are also rans over that period. I wouldn’t knock Olise for choosing them in the same way I didn’t knock Tosin to me; it’s totally understandable and a logical choice for them.
  22. They’ve never been stable yet they’ve been successful in the past without said stability. No player development? Kindly explain palmers rise? I think Gordon had a better season than Palmer but who is more hyped? Who is playing in Europe next season? I think Chelsea’s ownership have made an absolute litany of mistakes but one thing they’ve displayed is ambition and a willingness to be absolutely ruthless in pursuit of the goals they have. despite what you may think, staying in London getting paid more and European football next season is a very attractive prospect, ask Tosin.
