Our countries most loved Pundits view:
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville said on Sky Sports: "Managers have got to try and stay alive. Alan Pardew probably feels he doesn't get the plaudits. I don't think his period there, with what's happened with players leaving, will be seen as a failure. The majority of Newcastle fans will probably get what they want and see what another manager can do."
Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool defender, added: "How long can you stay at one club? If Alan Pardew went to Crystal Palace and kept them up, he could be there three or four years, I don't see him being at Newcastle in three or four years. He may see it as an opportunity to put a big stamp on a club. I think he's done a good job and at times gets a bit to much criticism."
