  1. England CB defending

We laugh for an hour until the teams get announced and we see the name Mike Williamson

You sir have made me spill my gin with that.

Sorry mate, I should have kept my mouth shut I'm hindsight.

Being a Newcastle fan we get small pleasures that should be cherished and I just robbed yours (promise I'm not a scouser).

Not sure we get many small pleasures watching us like

Watching us no, that's like pulling teeth.

    Mocking the mackems however...

  3. Starting to get nervous now.

Really hope Pardew doesn't drop Ben Arfa, It's one of those things where I don't see a positive from not playing him.

There are no positives to the decision, that's why. No doubt 1 or 2 idiots on here will defend Pardew if he does the unthinkable though.

I wouldn't call anyone idiots for having a different view tbh.

I try my best to see where people are coming from but I really don't see anything in Pardew that makes me think he's remotely competent

  4. Does my f***ing head in like. The manager tells the other players "just give it to that bloke, he'll do it all himself" so they do it and the other team put three players marking him to strangle him out... And our fans think he should be the one dropped?!

That's not to mention the preposterous decision to move him out of the position he's become used to in the first place. Our entire attacking game this season boils down to: Ben Arfa cuts inside and shoots.

So he moves him over, Ben Arfa can't cut inside and shoot and apparently that's Ben Arfa's fault.

    Staggering, isn't it?

What staggers me is people who defend his flawed logic

  5. So he's actually going thinking that the second half at Goodison was a decent performance? :anguish:

Are you saying it wasn't? We were an inch away from 3-3 at a ground where they hadn't conceded a goal in ten hours.

Tbf we did play better (would have been harder to play worse like) but Everton could have scored two or three more themselves. We were so bad 1st half and when they eased back in the 2nd half, it was hard to judge it properly.

For me i'm uber worried defensively, we are now concededing so easily it's a joke. Tbh it's been like that for over a year now and becoming the norm.

    Yea we've discussed this previously.

The scary thing is it hasn't improved for a good while now regardless of who Pardew selects.

  6. Two games ago, Pardew's merry band of fans were wanking themselves silly about what magnificent form he'd coaxed out of Ben Arfa after that famous win at Villa Park (that will live long in the memory for us all).

Now he's f***ing dropped him. The cowardly spineless little turd.

I'm just hoping this rumour turns out to be false personally.

Cardiff like it or not are one of the weaker sides in the league, home or away we should be looking to impose our style on them and make them adapt to stop us but because we've got that inept c*** in charge we are going to drop our best player because he wasn't at his best when played out of position the game before.

Typical f***ing Pardew the whole team had a bad first half at Everton not just HBA but he's singling him out and making an example? It's funny how it takes countless s*** games to drop Cisse but HBA has two and he's out.

If their was a help fat mike pay off Pardew fund i'd chip in.

Does anyone know exactly what our style is

I think at heart he's a 4-4-2 man, who likes to play direct balls into either the channels or the frontman.

Typical fucking Pardew the whole team had a bad first half at Everton not just HBA but he's singling him out and making an example? It's funny how it takes countless shit games to drop Cisse but HBA has two and he's out.

If their was a help fat mike pay off Pardew fund i'd chip in.

  8. Is the issue not that we have so few points given the quality of opposition we've played?

It's quite funny to hear Pardew talking about "judge us after 10 games". At the end of the 10 games, I bet he'll wish he'd been judged now instead because our goal difference will be negative double digits, our win % will be lower and the loss % will be higher!

I think we all know the "judge us after 10 games" will be forgotten about, if he's still here.

Exactly just like how he spouted it last year.

We'll be judging this man until the end of time.

  9. I do think HBA took the wrong option a few times against Everton. Just because he's playing on his 'wrong side' doesn't mean a guy with his talent can't be effective. He drifted inside a couple times. Looked better there. He should have done better. He should also have stayed on.

Those quotes were from the Fulham game, not Everton btw.

I personally would have kept him on, but i would never take him off unless the game was wrapped up with 3 points in the bag, but i can't remember the last time we were actually in a position where the game was wrapped up early

    This.

He's one of the few players we have who can create something out of nothing.

  10. Say we did lose tomorrow, Pardew got sacked, Kinnear/Kinnear's mate took over, what would be the general reaction on here? Positive now Pardew has eventually gone and things may now lookup, even more negative as it's Kinnear in charge or just the same s*** feelings as it is now?

Negative because of course Kinnear would be a bad appointment, but some relief that we've finally got rid of at least one of the clowns who have infected our club.

  11. Adding nothing to a squad that nearly went down suggests a relegation fight is perfectly acceptable to Pardew and the rest.

But your wrong! The Europa league cost us!

Alan said he'd do much better when he had more time to prepare the side

  12. Like f*** would I trust Pardew to implement a successful 3-5-2 style formation.

I still have nightmares about Shearer doing it away at Stoke, deploying David Edgar as a sort of half-sweeper for christs sake.

Robson had a couple of mares with that formation as well, it's rarely paid off when we have deployed it.

Tbf to the great man we didn't really have the personnel for a 3-5-2 then, i think we do now if everyone is fit or some kind of variation of it.

But there is not a chance in hell of Pardew being able to implement it properly.

    We don't.

We'd be one injury away from big mike Williamson

  13. Bayern have more width and physical menace than Barca did, that said until Lewandowski arrives next year they don't have a striker to match the rest of the squad yet, and they have no Messi, the goals should be much better distributed mind, can't see goal scoring being much of an issue.

Right, this Bayern team has more dimensions to it than Barca did imo.

  14. This Bayern team is scary.

Barca always had obvious weakness under Guardiola but with Bayern It's a different story.

Aye just the 14 trophies in 4 years.

    Sigh.

Barca tended to struggle when the centre of the pitch was packed and teams stayed compact.

See the games vs Chelsea & Inter for reference
