That's If he can dislodge the incumbent partnership.
Pardew seems to rate colo and Williamson as a partnership for some reason.
-
Williamson and MYM are our best partnership and should be playing.
I agree but the fact Williamson is starting for us just shows what a joke we are.
-
Than God? I know.
-
Oh for the love of f***ing God.
You're better than that
-
I'll eat a giant hat covered in p*ss if this happens.
Ditto for Lacazette.
Hoping it does now just to see this
-
Would be a good replacement for Taylor, but we're really missing a trick if he's coming here to replace MYM. Would expect nothing less from this club though, provided we actually get it "over the line" in the first place.
Yup we are cutting it fine, deals done this late always smacks of panic buying tbh
Weren't we linked with him 2-3 years ago too though?
Yes we were. But if he was any sort of priority I'm sure we would have heard much more about this much earlier.

There's no love in ffs, he's just a lot better at sitting deep, recycling possession and making himself available for a pass than either Sissoko or Colback.
Do you really think he does as I don't see it as I said anyone can pass the ball 10 - 15 yards it's not going to win you games and he is just too easily outmuscled for me.
Never said it does, but the midfield has to be balanced. The two today like to run a lot aimlessly but no one who dictates the tempo from deep.
It's fine to have one of Colback and Sissoko but not both, they need to have Anita or Tiote behind them to give them the ball when things are going well and slow it down when things are not.
Not saying the situation is perfect and we can't improve on the current options, but one of Tiote or Anita should always play until we are able to acquire better options.
Having two midfielders who don't understand how to play deep is asking for trouble and moronic on the managers behalf.
Isn't Colback supposed to be a deep lying midfielder? I was under the impression that's the position he's been picked to play for England.
Only picked to make the numbers up to be fair.

Genoa / Sampdoria's gaff? Ireland vs Romania 1990.

FWIW, he says it's pronounced Air-onz.
Fucking hell man was all
when Rolando was speaking then Pardew suddenly pops up with his drivel about who's he's given debuts too
-
Give Colo the job
Ronaldo!
Hoping he doesn't see it

PMSLWell ujpest has written him off which is usually a good sign. Ballon D'or next year.
I've also written off De Jong and partially written off Riviere.
To be fair mind, Cabella is s*** and I cannot believe we've frozen out HBA for him.

Lads today was so immense. Could not have gone better
Great work again mate.
You and Slim are NO's Batman and Robin
-
f*** do I know
That's why I wrote apparently. wouldn't surprise me though, feels to thick to write that post without having signed.
Wasn't having a go at you mate.
It just seems everytime someone let's something slip on twatter when they shouldn't cry "hacked"

Roma 1 up.
Nainggolan with a very nice hit.

Hard to see past Chelsea for the title like. Do the bare minimum against the dross at home and pulverise teams away plus they're 3 up on City already and I don't think anyone else will come close unless Arsenal drop £60m on 3 players.
Especially if they get Remy in to cover Diego costa as well.
They've given the league a lesson in squad building to be fair.
It barely needed adding to but Mourinho has bought very well. Got everyone in early doors to get them coached and assimilated too which is always a good thing. Matic and Fabregas are so good it barely matters who the 3rd player is, be it a breaker away or another creator at home.
I think it did need adding to personally but I also think he's bought really well.
He's now got two players per position who are of genuine class and knowing Mourinho he'll always opt to go for two holding midfielders in the big games we'll even see him adopt this approach at home to be honest.
Ramires is almost the perfect partner is Mourinhos eyes as he can cover the ground that Matic can't also bare in mind how risk averse Mourinho is.

Try finding a Newcastle 'fan' or any other fan, for that matter, ouside this forum who wants their team to lose.
Its embarrassing.
It's a weird one I don't think I actively want to use win or lose at the moment.
I can't quite bring myself to cheer the opposition scoring (and I'd probably get kicked in at the ground) but I'm certainly not arsed when they do.
This is me to a degree, I don't know if there's much chance of Pardew getting sacked so I don't know what to think.
Didn't want us to win today though tbh, the guy would have been unbearable in the press for weeks and used it to cement his position.
The only reason I want us to lose is hope.
With Pardew in charge I feel totally hopeless and without any enjoyment or enthusiasm for the club, even though us losing and him possibly being sacked doesn't guarantee anything I'll take it purely because at least I can hope for better.

Mourinho is going to be unbearable in the post match interview isn't he?
-
If he doesn't start scoring I can see the fans turning on him because he's not quick, tricky, nor blindingly quick.
He was constantly asking for the ball in the first half but unfortunately Gouffran, Colback and Sissoko seemed to be under orders only to pass it sideways or backwards.
Due to the way we play I think he'll struggle to score too, all we do is pass it sideways and backwards we don't get to the byline anywhere near often enough.

Had some proper Palace no marks sitting near me today including Peter Ramage and Jerome Thomas. Forgot they existed.
Haven't seen any of the highlights but was it Anita marking Delaney at the end?
Absolutely comical
If this is the case it just goes to show how lacking we are leadership wise on the pitch especially defensively.
The fact we haven't improved the centre of the defence says it all especially considering how many goals we've shipped over the past 2 years.
