For the record, I havent't called anyone a fool or said we mustn't talk about HBA, I've even said that I understand why we do. But my opinion is that this fixation is irrational.

Comparing HBA with Kevin Keegan. Relevant. Like comparing Demba Ba with Alan Shearer. Are we following Demba Ba BTW? I don't even know where he's playing these days. He was a better player for us than HBA.

I love Keegan. He's all about inspiration, a lovable man and one of the most important individuals in the history of this club. But as a manager, you can't compare him with Rafa Benitez and Sir Bobby Robson. You just can't. Sir Bobby won throphies in four countries, he won the FA and UEFA Cup with Ipswich fucking Town. He managed Barcelona. He almost took England to the World Cup final. Rafa Benitez has won the Champions League, The Europa League, 2 La Ligas and more. Bobby and Rafa have managed the biggest clubs in the world. Kevin Keegan will be remembered as a great player, indeed he was. But he was never a great manager.

Why can't you comprehend it? We've had no one since him who's been anywhere near as good or exciting and for a lot of us he's been the best NUFC player to watch in at least the last decade. Players like that stay with you, I still bang on about Beardsley, Ginola, Asprilla etc and older fans still bang on about Tony Green who played 33 matches for us 45 years ago . The only difference between Ben Arfa and those players is they were here during better eras, with better players around them. I can understand people talking about him, remembering great goals etc. But this fixation, following and constant talk about re-signing him?

I loved Ben Arfa when he was here, but I can't comprehend NUFC fans still banging on about him, three years later. We've had many great players at this club. Players come and go.
