  1. Because he's a decent player. So you'd have him start over anyone else we have at CM? What I meant was, with everyone fit, he'd have a place in McClaren's first team. That's how I interpreted 'first choice'. I could see him and Wijnaldum working well together. Are you high?
  2. Was given loads of games to prove himself like. Especially that 15 game run where he done nowt. I agree. Oh wait, none of those things happened. He made 31 appearances and chipped in with 1 goal and 1 assist. Stats arent everything a kna', but he contributed very little in games in other areas. I havent totally written him off by the way, I just wouldnt shed any tears if he left. If he stays then great, lets see if he's better than he showed. Lets compare then: Last season - 31 appearances = 1943 minutes 21 starts (subbed off in 10) 10 substituted on This equated to 1 goal and around 3 assists. For Montpellier the season before - 37 appearances = 3206 minutes 36 starts (subbed off in 4) 1 substituted on This equated to 14 goals and 5 assists. So for Montpellier he played a total of 32 full 90 matches, and for us he managed the mighty sum of 11 full games. That's really giving the lad a chances to prove himself like. The way you portray his stats, is not representable of the scenario he was in, under both Pardew and Carver. I am totally under the belief that in a team that passes and moves, with him possible playing more centrally, or giving a free role on the wing, he will manage atleast 5-6 goals and assists each, next season. It would be lunacy to ship the lad out now.
  3. Janmaat all the way. He's got confidence, abit of arrogance. Added to that he's our best defender and he's a cracking player. I also think a captain should be in defence, so he can see all the players infront of him. He hates Willo and would have spotted Ben Arfa's lack of tracking back and immediately sorted him out.
  4. I think he started off as a striker. Which will be handy if he's still got instincts for goal. Started off as an out and out winger, he was far leaner and skinnier. Which you can imagine considering he started playing first team football at 16.

  6. Doubt Rennais will let him go. Sure they just gave him a new contract and the number 7 shirt at the start of last season.
  7. And you reckon he's shit, fat, doesn't track back, doesn't work for the team and has zero discipline.
  8. True sadly. I was hoping that promising defenders moving abroad at an early age might have an effect, but the likes of Rekik and Bruma still don't look polished. Midfielders and forwards who have been snapped up by the likes of Chelsea and Man City at age 16 are generally never heard of again, unsurprisingly. I fear the effect of this on our NT in a few years time. The best young talents who previously would have been through Ajax' and Feyenoord's academies only to move abroad after a few years in the first team are snapped up for small compensation by your big clubs nowadays, only to be ruined. I thought Bruma went to Chelsea and then PSV brought him back to the Eredivisie? Do you mean Bruma still doesn't look any better after being in Chelseas academy for a few seasons?
  9. He apparently converted in order to marry his Muslim wife.
  10. That's a load of bullshit. Plenty of people have given constructive analysis about HBAs time here. We can do this all day bud, but either way, we all know he is/was a superb talent, and Pardew was his downfall. The over weight crap came around way after Pardew fucked him about.
  11. Why are the Ben arfa fans trying to make excuses for him at every opportunity, then? Why are the NON Ben arfa fans trying to bash him at every opportunity, then?
  12. And by the look of it, shes developing rickets in the remaining one.
  13. WHAT?! Aye, lets turf Cabella out.
  14. Does this prove that Liverpool aren't a big club. Like Rodgers said about Soton, you don't have to sell your best players.
  15. staggering we're the only people on the planet able to see this like Am sure Charlton, West Ham and Southampton fans can see through him aswell. My mate supports Soton and absolutely hates the bloke.
  16. Hasn't been posting since February, but the second Hatem is getting abused, WHAM!
  17. Says who? if he was very good he wouldn't still be at Stoke. He's the best player and captain for the 9th best team in the league. He's not really a top 4 player so is there any real incentive/opportunity for him to leave when he'd cost close over £15m? Shawcross is the best CB we could hope to attract and exactly what our defence and team as a whole needs. As said, though, he'd cost too much for us to be in for him. So by that logic, the season we finished 5th, Colo was the best player and captain of the 5th best team in the league? Shawcross isn't very good, ana you like bigging him up, but howay.
  18. I hear he's never seen a Mackem in Rotterdam.
  19. Once we have replaced Willo, Obertan, Colo, Riviere, Saylor, Sammy, Elliott etc
  20. Ana, I wish I had been watching the same NUFC as you for the last 20 year.
  21. Ajax are well known for their route one, hoofball, direct style, right from the academy, up to the first team.
  22. I like how he says its good we are passing the ball, but it's not quick enough tempo
