  1. Instead of "I've got 11/10 news lads", what about "I've got some relatively big news. Obviously it's not takeover approved, but it could be important." but that doesn't get clicks though does it?
  2. Of course, and I agree. I don't take issue with what he's doing, it's how he's going about it with hyperbole and what seems to be an inability to read the room.
  3. Exactly, how that qualifies as 11/10 news I don't know. The super league news must've been an astonishing 20/10
  4. With that being the case, it sounds like Keith has found a little tidbit, and De Marco is letting him put his little crumb of info out to the media to keep little Keith entertained while he does the big boy work.
  5. "Fingers crossed.." that's not putting your head on the chopping block is it, really.
  6. I understand that it needs legal team approval... but in the context of what most fans want a ten out of ten is takeover approved right? I don't mind the optimism, i'm optimistic myself, but this twitter hyperbole has to stop. It's shite. It'll probably be something showing collusion that will be a bad story for the PL but will have no bearing on the takeover, and might just rub salt in the wounds if the takeover doesn't go ahead down the line.
  7. If 10/10 news is takeover going through, then 11/10 news must be takeover going over and mandy hands out goodybags full of £££ to every supporter as a hello. In other news, I've got a 11/10 rated scoop that this big news is going to be 5/10 middle of the road clickbait shite.
  8. BT coverage >>> Sky - pundits absolutely battering them.
  9. Some of the headlines would suggest City et al have saved football. It's crazy. Like the respect people get for overcoming terrible addiction, but in this instance they planned on becoming an addict for years without telling anyone, then binned it off over 48 hours and are now getting a pat on the back.
  10. I'm so confused. Sky just used us as an example "if Newcastle were bought and moved to the isle of mann that wouldn't be right etc" - why not talk about the obvious example, that's far more likely to happen to Manchester United?
  11. It's been an exhausting 14 years - ah well
  12. All of these CEOs being asked to leave premier league committees.. and Sky are still not asking the right questions. I haven't heard the word scapegoat once. Absolute joke.
  13. Turned off sky sports news as I got bored of waiting for this to be raised but na. Nothing to see here.
  14. Went over our takeover with a fine comb though. The letter of the law fella, to the letter.
  15. I agree they're bent as fuck, I just thought they might've been spiteful enough a la "We helped you out re not letting any one else in the league with $$$ and you repay us with this".
  16. Yeah I need to get on this. Think I'm more angry at my mates for how forgiving they are. I'm sure they're smart enough to know it'll happen again ?
  17. Aye it's still wank, but at least they'd only be running the champions league by proxy instead of controlling a new one themselves.
  18. Kaveh Solhekol changed his tune really fast - he was acting like the harbinger of doom last night and loving it, now he's back to licking boots, sad little cunt.
  19. Maybe I'm more angry about this than I need to be. but there needs to be some sort of punishment - yes it will affect the supporters of these clubs - but the supporters of these clubs should be humble and rational enough (I know) to blame the owners for the continued consequences of their selfish actions. Appeal aside, City were banned from Europe for overspending, this should be taken as precedent in this situation. If a European ban is the consequence for that, then what should the consequence for an attempted coup be? One year ban from european competition, reasonable points deduction at the start of next season and/or a proportion of the monies received for their final position in the table shared out amongst championship clubs and below? It is the minimum I would understand and believe it would be a reasonable compromise - not enough, but something. I don't think my 'big six' supporting friends have had enough practice at being pissed off at their clubs, and it shows. How they went from 'relegate us' to 'nah let's all crack on' within 24 hours is some mental gymnastics I'll never understand.
  20. My Liverpool and City supporting friends were fuming and saying "I understand how you feel about Newcastle now" but since the super league has failed they don't want to talk about it anymore. I said they should still be angry that the owners of their clubs tried to subvert competition and never apologised to other clubs for that. They've moved on apparently now - "I'm alright Jack"
  21. He's so short sighted. Takeover will drag on again for reasons, we'll be in a precarious position come January - 'wait until summer and see if we're still in the prem before takeover goes ahead'.
  22. Agreed. I can't see mbappe becoming a player who can transition into one that can break teams down.
  23. Why is the host/producer trying to shut him up? Weird.
