  1. Would love trippier, but I can't see why he would come outside of coming back to the UK for one last 'big' contract.

Quite simple really, there isn't an excuse. It's his opinion on how to set the team up, and we don't like it. The thing is, is that he's not the permanent manager, and he's taken the role on temporarily, so what we're doing here is criticism of something he wasn't employed to do in the first place. Any of us could tell the team to press, but he might be thinking they're not fit enough therefore he's doing what he can to salvage points until the permanent manager comes in. Or, he might just be clueless, either way it's not his fault.

Got to be honest here, after the past fortnight or so of seeing him get stick, and by that I don't mean criticism of his tactics and team selection, but actual anger and/or hate directed his way, it's been disappointing. Some of us were crying out for him to get a chance, and obviously he's not the solution, and he never proposed himself to be. For all the rubbish in the media about us hounding Bruce out I think we know better than to give a coach shit for stepping in for three games.

Tbh I think he knows it's not his strong suit, especially after Luton, and I respect him for that.

Don't get the anger here. Never sold himself like Carver did. Stepped up when asked and that was it. I don't agree with his decisions, but maybe he's seen things we haven't. At the end of the day, it's up to Howe from now on.
  10. I am positive. I'm moreso of the mindset that we don't take games outside of the toughest games for granted, as those tougher games suddenly become must-win, and that's worrying.
  11. I can't stand this guy, to think I fell for the nice guy act before he came in. Worse than Pardew, at least Pardew had a smug charisma and the decency to cry.
  12. December is almost a write off for us in terms of fixtures, as are the last few games of the season. We need to be safe by end of April by a stretch.
  13. I thought Brighton were good first half, although we did pay them too much respect and sat back as usual. They shat themselves after we scored.

I've got nothing bad to say about Jones. He came in as a coach, and it's been leaked he wouldn't want the position full time. It seems he knows he's not a manager, as well as we do. In my opinion, he's got us two points where we would've had zero under Bruce. He's done what he can with what he was given, I thank him for that and it's time to move on.
  15. Big grin on my face when Eddie walked in with Mandy

  17. I can't help thinking this, consortium maybe shouldn't have guaranteed him tenure at the club without the next manager in place.
  18. Thought this was a double u-turn then with that tweet.
  19. Although this is backtracking a bit here, what I read about Emery that did concern me was communication breakdown he had with players at Arsenal. You can't take four Europa league wins from him but reading that, then thinking about our players I did wonder how much they would or would want to take on board from him.
  20. I was blowing just watching that.
  21. I feel a bit underwhelmed but I'm staying positive and keep reminding myself of the alternate universe in which Bruce is still here and we're as apathetic as ever. I'm really looking forward to competing again, strangely, even if we go down I'll still feel like there are inevitable good times ahead. I had hope before the takeover but now it feels tangible and I think it's important to hold on to that. However, I am on the cans.
  22. Don't want the nose picker in the dugout anyway.
  23. It does, but as long as each appointment is better than the last then hopefully good things will happen more often than not.
  24. I'm at the stage now where I'm happy to see any manager with an actual plan come in. Someone else said that Howe would be the second best manager we've had come in for 15 years. I'm looking forward to getting behind him and the team, let's fucking go.
