Wording of thread titles aside, it was my understanding that this is the positivity thread. When the original takeover thread was locked it was pretty annoying to see some of those types of posts creep in here. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the takeover is 100% going through but have a bit of self control, and respect the purpose of the threads in which you post. I think there are a minority on this forum that get a bit of a kick from talking people down or feeling that it is necessary to play devil's advocate.

No definitely not. I don't believe the premier league have much to do with the EFL. Nor do I believe that Gary Neville has much influence with the hierarchy at Man U when it comes to matters of this scale. If he did I'd imagine he'd be dissuaded from encouraging attempts at any sort of takeover.

Neville did do us a disservice there. But he was very stern and clear about us needing new ownership.

It's perfectly reasonable to be positive. I'm of the mindset that if it doesn't pan out then at least I had felt some real hope for the first time in a long time. It's also perfectly reasonable not to be, after all, how many times have we been let down? It's easier to expect the worst. What isn't reasonable, is to perpetually pour cold water on someone else's positivity when they've already outlined their scepticism. Frequent positive posts >>> Frequent negative posts
