Having watched a lot of sky sports news recently, it's unfortunate that the consensus amongst pundits is that "we" as fans genuinely expected world class talent this window. It annoys me to no end as most rational supporters either didn't believe this or were tongue in cheek when saying so.

I dislike Solhekol since the super league news, he was acting enraged at first, then once a couple clubs pulled out he was sympathetic and seemingly trying to brush it under the rug. Of course this could all be producer direction but seeing his opinion change over the course of 24 hours stank.

Actually relieved to see this news, even if it's a little underwhelming.

As much as I would want to see it fail, I have a feeling he'll take them over, stabilise them, then sell for profit, and be heralded as a hero for them. Then onto the next.

Maybe he could turn into the Fat Sam of owners.

I think they're trying to be pragmatic in that there's the real possibility we're going down, if we can bring in decent players that may keep us up or at least perform well enough to get us back up at the first time of asking then FFP won't have taken as much of a hit. Then we can spend more once we know what division we're in next year, with a more stable position.

Yeah I agree, sadly it is the way the game is going / has gone generally. We're not a special case as much as I would like us to be.

I would prefer if there was no replacement signage. However, I did expect that after Ashley utilised the stadium for SD signs, there would be replacements by new sponsors, that ad space in itself is an advertisement for potential new owners to exploit and must've been part of the appeal of purchasing the club. Also, when/if these new "market value" sponsorship rules come in, the ownership would need to maximise what is available for sponsorship. Reducing to shirt only sponsorship for example would prevent receipt of the largest "market value" sponsorship deals. I just hope the stadium isn't renamed.

Probably some bias here, but I think we've had the best 'badge' in the league for years. It looks elite. In the last 14 years I've felt that we've been undeserving of such a beautiful and royal-esque crest for our club. To be in the position now to affect our fortunes so much than we can match the quality of the crest, it feels silly to change it.
