This commentary is full of PFM cliche rubbish. Fuming when I heard that as well, acting as if they'd uncovered something insightful.

ITV hub is so wank. Still waiting for a corner to be kicked in the fourth minute.

What a joke. Not even the sum of one top player. It should've been in the realms of 80m to 100m per club at least. In other words they forgo one or two marquee signings. They try to change the top level of football forever and it's cost them half a Joelinton. Spineless. Edit: Didn't realise this was 22m collectively. I'm lost for words. Even 22m each was paltry.

Just realised the takeover is going through lads. History repeats itself.. City bought an underperforming Brazillian striker in Jo prior to their takeover, we've brought in BIG Joe = BIG takeover.

Missed this - what happened?!

If we held up sky coverage on a Sunday over Mike Ashley's ownership I don't think it would go down as well.
-
Great idea for a thread. I'd post my thoughts but they've already been outlined by posts above. It's so frustrating as its incredibly easy for the owner to make the right decisions for the club and to get the fans on side.

I understand that it needs legal team approval... but in the context of what most fans want a ten out of ten is takeover approved right? I don't mind the optimism, i'm optimistic myself, but this twitter hyperbole has to stop. It's shite. It'll probably be something showing collusion that will be a bad story for the PL but will have no bearing on the takeover, and might just rub salt in the wounds if the takeover doesn't go ahead down the line.

BT coverage >>> Sky - pundits absolutely battering them.

Some of the headlines would suggest City et al have saved football. It's crazy. Like the respect people get for overcoming terrible addiction, but in this instance they planned on becoming an addict for years without telling anyone, then binned it off over 48 hours and are now getting a pat on the back.

I'm so confused. Sky just used us as an example "if Newcastle were bought and moved to the isle of mann that wouldn't be right etc" - why not talk about the obvious example, that's far more likely to happen to Manchester United?
-
It's been an exhausting 14 years - ah well
-
All of these CEOs being asked to leave premier league committees.. and Sky are still not asking the right questions. I haven't heard the word scapegoat once. Absolute joke.
-
Turned off sky sports news as I got bored of waiting for this to be raised but na. Nothing to see here.
-
Went over our takeover with a fine comb though. The letter of the law fella, to the letter.
-
Dang you're spot on.

I agree they're bent as fuck, I just thought they might've been spiteful enough a la "We helped you out re not letting any one else in the league with $$$ and you repay us with this".
