Intriguing selection, I'll give him that. -
Fair play to Sheff Utd, look a decent team, very hardworking. Massive win for Liverpool tbf - playing poorly/average and winning always feels huge.

Not been the best start from Ole, but he does need more time imo. -

Joselu scored ONE header for us (against Spurs) He would've buried those headers like TWO headers actually, don't forget the one against Chelsea! Ah shit yeah. Fair point. I was actually at that game aswell. The first 75 mins were so boring must have wiped it from my memory lol.

There is no evidence to back this up in the last 2 seasons since we signed Joselu. Zero. Joselu in that time has A) been available more. B) scored at a better ratio than Carroll. We’re not comparing Joselu to 2010 Andy Carroll here. It’s not ‘defending Joselu’ as you’ve put it, it’s more pointing out what an absolute clusterfuck of a signing this was and replacing 2017/19 Joselu with 2017/19 Carroll in our 25 man squad has in no way improved us. Joselu had ONE assist in two seasons. ONE. At least 2 of the 6 goals he scored in 2 seasons came off his shin in a totally bungly fashion. He had a couple of decent goals against Spurs and Chelsea and that was it. That missed pen against Burnley at home was the fucking tamest pen of all time. Unforgivable. Carroll injury record is wank but he will clearly cause more problems to defences than Joselu would.
-
We should be aiming for better than Carroll. No doubt. But anybody that says Joselu is better than Carroll is simply wrong. Joselu couldn't hold the ball up, link up the play, win headers. He was fucking powder puff.
-
No defending Bruce is. I'm not defending Bruce. I'm simply saying Carroll is a better option than Joselu.

Defending Joselu - this board has hit a new low
-
He's not a bad option to bring off the bench so not got a problem with that. Certainly better than bringing Joselu off the bench that's for sure. True tbf.
-
First half was absolute turbo gash like.
-
Defence isn't that bad tbf - 8 goals conceded from 6 games isn't a disaster. The lack of goals is the big worry.
-
Cracking comeback from Arsenal tbf.
-
Wolves/Watford next week. Big game. Wolves have City the week after aswell.
-
I'd be happy for Ross to stay there. I could easily see them finishing in Play-off's again and losing. Just too many draws. A lack of killer instinct.
-
Not great. Lucky to get a point. Attacking wise worries me. Can't see us scoring many goals. Defence isn't too bad tbf.

Being in shape isn't really the issue. Pardew was fairly trim but it was impossible to respect him like you would a man like Rafa who knew what he was about, and had genuine integrity. Bruce is just an embarrassment, I actually feel myself going flush with shame when I see him being interviewed. It's worse than Carver actually, because Carver was never meant to be taken seriously. Clearly not worse than Carver like. Which is why I said at least Carver wasn't meant to be taken seriously. You could laugh along with the rest of the country every time he popped up, everyone knew he was a joke. He was still the manager - everybody knew he was a joke fair enough, but it was just consistently embarrassing. Bruce is underwhelming, but Carver was so just bad.

PSG/Real is very intriguing. Will watch.
