I think Trips has to be included in that group as well mind - took a massive gamble, and has been phenomenal on the pitch and offered no doubt untold experience and knowledge to the group off the pitch as well since he joined. The one that started it all imo.

Injured or just being managed minutes wise?

I assumed that Howe was terrified of Burn vs Greenwood and favoured having 1 of Tino or Hall on that side at all times.

And we all know how that will end...

we dont have enough full backs to play another 90 minutes with that formation, its obvious. No Krafth, or Trips. Hall and Tino literally back 1 game, everyone hating on Burn as LB. 5 at the back allowed Murphy to cover for 60 minutes. Its squad management, its Howe trying to learn from the last campaign where running the same 11 into the ground ruined our season.

But its a league, and were doing well in the champions league, and are desperate for points in the Prem? And everyone would whing to high hell if we put Gordon, of all people, up front against Everton away?

Then who else? We have 2 other strikers, both of which are Injured?

For everyone whinging - exactly what was Howe meant to do? Play Woltemade tonight, in a game we would of liked to win, but didn't have to win or run NickW into the ground and he be shite against Everton at the weekend, and lose in the Prem away again? He has no other strikers fit, who else is he going to play up front? Barnes? Elanga? Sean Neave? Tonight was a gamble based on a squad teetering on the brink of loads of injuries, hes trying to learn from the last campaign and not play the same 11 into the ground every week.
