A bookie released some info not long ago, I'll try find it later when I'm home. The systems they have in place flag up all sorts (IP addresses, cards, addresses, names etc.) If you log into an account on someone elses phone (who also uses the same bookie) then it'd flag up. They are over cautious a lot of the time because if even one single bet was paid out which shouldn't have been, it can bite them heavily on the arse in fines.

Usually I'd 100% stick up for the punter like, as some bookies do have some incredible loopholes to prevent paying out bets but there is no justification in this case and the bookie is spot on.

the punter bent the rules knowingly, so he can f*** off with the sympathy tbh. From a legal standpoint he hasn't got a leg to stand on, I'm not arguing against that and I don't think he is either. It's ridiculous that PP have allowed it to happen though and he's right to feel p*ssed off regardless of how stupid he's been. He's essentially just lost £11k and that's partly down to the bookmaker - they get away with s*** like this all the time. This radge as f*** 'if you can't do the time don't do the crime' attitude doesn't really wash like. But Paddy Power did identify that he had tried to get around the rules, part the way through the game they cancelled his bet. For all you know he deposited and placed the bet just before kick off and they cancelled it within 30 minutes. Every deposit that flags up as a bit dodgy is independently checked by a person, this takes time hence the short delay in noticing he was trying to break the rules. It's simply no defence to blame the bookmaker because he unsuccessfully broke the rules and it took them a short period of time to check the information. If the deposit flagged then he shouldn't have been allowed to place a bet until it was resolved, or at-least notify him that it has been flagged and they're looking into it. Some bookmakers don't allow you to bet until you've sent in photo ID. They'll get a lot of bad PR from it and rightly so. If every deposit/bet that flagged was refused then you would have thousands of punters every day unable to place bets. The bets they wanted to place would then go on to win and they'd kick off. Thousands of bets/deposits flag every day, due to the comprehensive systems they have in place. A majority are completely fine, but they have to independently check all of them. Whenever you place a bet (online, by phone, in the shop or whatever) you place it and immediately agree to the T&Cs. One of them being that if the bet and/or deposit is found to be against the T&Cs then it will be cancelled. He placed the bet knowing that he was breaking the rules, Paddy Power have done absolutely nowt wrong and were quick to spot the break in T&Cs as it was all sorted before the games were even finished. Like I said, he wouldn't be kicking off if Monaco didn't win, would he? He'd be happy that his bets were refunded. Typical problem gambler kicking off because he's probably so badly in debt he needed that win, when in reality he'd have pissed away all the winnings anyway.

He's obviously got a gambling problem if he is staking that much money despite having deposit limits on his account. He could have gone into a shop or opened an account elsewhere. Rules are there for a reason, he broke them so is entitled to fuck all. The bets would have been refunded if he had lost, wonder if he would have kicked off then too?

Anyone know how many Cardiff tickets are left/have been sold? On general sale now. NUFC still not acknowledging that we have up to 6,000 (as Cardiff have announced) and stating "an initial allocation of 3,400" on all of their press releases.

Don't understand how anyone can dislike Shola.

Oh shit, you can do it more than one? I'll do it 10.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League
Figures 1-0 Football replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
Wouldn't surprise me if the next two games go our way and then Villa fold like the absolute worthless cunts that they are like. Their fans would love it too, celebrate it like their own win Despite the fact they'll be rotting out this league next season too. -
Wonder if Crumpy feels Brighton are the WORST TEAM EVER to be promoted based on this performance.

Norwich 1-0

Is today the start of Brighton losing 3 matches and us pipping them to a very unlikely title?...

The bit referred to in the headline is Bloke: How long you got? Six years innit? And you never even f***ed the bird? Johnson: Didn't even get me cock out. Bloke: It’s not like you f***ing raped her or owt like that. Johnson: (Laughing) No, I wish I f***ing did for six year! Thanks Typical over sensationalised headline by The Sun with no thought of the victim at all then.

Without offending my computer by loading up The Sun and adding to their hits, can someone summarise what he says on the video?

Maybe it depends where you move, as it whether or not you completely lose your mind.

Shows how utterly crap those team of the year things are when they chose our second best CB for the team. There is also about 30 "teams of the year" that come out for the same league via different organisations. Just a complete waste of time like.
-
To be fair it stops games like Leicester vs Genk for example happening in the last 16 or 8. Groups may be more interesting at the expense of the knockout phase. Depending on the quality of your team you could also have the competition practically won after the group stage if you were to knockout 2 of your biggest rivals early on. Also smaller European clubs make more money when drawn with the big clubs and major attractions. Leicester v Genk in the last 8 is the exact reason why they should scrap that crap seeding. Were you mortified at Lincoln making it to the quarter final of the FA Cup like? Shall we seed the FA Cup so we can watch Man City v Chelsea in the final every year? Or did you enjoy to see them do well and knock out PL teams?
-
Unsurprising to see him do well in a really dreadful standard of league like.
-
The way they seed the group stages to keep apart the 'bigger' clubs is the worst part of it all. Who cares if Barca, Juve, Man City and Bayern are drawn in a group together? It'd be more interesting.

He started the season well, and IIRC he and Clark were immense during our winning run. He seems to have gradually dropped off as the season has gone along, has he ever played a full season? I think I recall him being in/out of the team at Forest but I may be wrong. Maybe he's just knackered, mentally and physically. It's hard work playing a 46 game season, especially when you're the captain, especially when you're the captain of the biggest club in the league with huge expectations of getting out of it.
