What on Earth is that 'DUGOUT' shit written on the floor at the Etihad?
-
can't be arsed to find the dummett thread but he was f***ing horrible up to the sending off last night, worst player on the pitch, and i think he's been decent overall down a level Ronaldo's going to kick off when he sees this! You're not allowed to have a go at Paul! But I agree, he was all over the place.

Agree - completely forgot he was playing at some points through the first half. -

It's where the incident takes place, not where the ball is. Should have been our free kick and the same punishment dished out to their no.10 as he kicked out first. Can't remember the last time an incident like that took place (play goes on and 5 seconds later 2 players tangle and the ref has to stop the game to deal with it) where the play is restarted from the spot of the incident rather than where the play/ball actually was when play was stopped? The whole thing was f***ing obvious bullshit and Martin looked obviously biased tonight. It was f***ing blatant. Aye, the following applies to violent conduct (which is what one assumes Shelvey was sent off for) Against an opponent: Ball out of play • Disciplinary sanction – Send off. • Restart of play – According to the previous decision. Ball in play (offence inside the field of play) • Disciplinary sanction – Send off. • Restart of play – DFK where it occurred or penalty kick.

The referee is directed to give a yellow if the player genuinely attempted to play the ball, but it is still a red card offence if the player deliberately fouls his opponent with no attempt to play the ball. As Peter Beagrie summed up earlier, it wasn't possible for Dummett to play the ball because Lansbury stopped dead right in front of him and forced Dummett to run into the back of him Normal human reaction times tells you it was near on impossible for Dummett to avoid some sort of collision in that circumstance, therefore he did not deliberately push Lansbury to the floor.

One of those people was not being serious though. Cant wait for the next health and safety training at work, gonna have to stop slide tackling people in the office like

Oh he'd have loved to have given it. That's a Mike Dean wet dream.

Potentially with us struggling to create and the absence of Shelvey, we may finally see Gayle and Mitro together.

He's absolutely livid and destroying Lansbury here like

Literally no idea how that referee could ever be given another match. 1. Clark should have been given a penalty - I mean come on, refs were briefed on that before the start of the season. It's basic stuff. 2. After not giving Clark a penalty, there is no way on Earth he could rule out Clark's goal. There was about 80% less contact during that, then there was during the penalty incident. 3. Dummett should never, ever have seen red. Under the new rules, it's not a red. That's even before you start debating whether it was a foul in the first place or a dive. 4. The yellow card to Gouffran was embarrassing, again, was that even a foul? We knew the standard of officiating was incredibly bad before today, but this just took it to a new level. What will happen, anything? Of course not. It's not Man Utd, it's not in the PL, so it'll get brushed under the carpet and ignored. We'll endure this idiot of a referee again by the end of the season, god knows what he could come up with then. A fantastic first half performance from us and it was damaged limitations in the second half. We'd have won that with 10 men, quite easily.
