  1. Basically a Newcastle accent or an ID that suggests you are from Newcastle (or the surrounding area) will see you turned away and your match ticket taken off of you.
  2. He sounds like he is going to be a superstar, based on nothing other than his name. Has Rafa made any changes to our scouting structure at all? (other than removing all of the restrictions they had; French or has played in Ligue 1, under £1m, young)
  3. Thought he looked quite steady, some of his tackling was very good. Had horrific flashbacks to seeing Janmaat every now and again when he was caught out of position.
  4. Aye especially when he didn't get a new job until the following January.
  5. Out of interest, who do people think is best to play alongside Shelvey? Colback or Hayden?
  6. Zaha formally requests to Fifa to play for Ivory Coast, that will be him gone for African Cup of Nations
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38128008 Absolutely glorious...
  8. Ian Wright is an embarrassment, these ex=Arsenal players who are stealing a living talking garbage on tv need to be culled. Put him, Alan Smith and Merson into a derelict pub and set it on fire. Smith is alright. Agreed. Smith walked past us on the way out after the Leicester away game a couple of seasons back under Carver where we walked into a 3-0 defeat, his comment was "you all deserve better than this".
  9. You'll struggle to find a ground in the country where there is a half decent atmosphere from the home fans. We are no exception and we're certainly not the worst either.

  11. Down for a 9.9 to a 9.8 now. Not sure why anyone is bothered about how close Brighton are to us, whether we win the league or come 2nd the end result is still the same. The only gap that interests me is the one to 3rd and we're still 6 points ahead.
  12. £15mil Jordan Ibe, £10million Benik Afobe and £7million Lys Mousset (who I'd not heard of until a week or so ago) all on the bench agrees with this Not exactly top of the range signings by premier standards though, which also suggests Bournemouth's budget makes it pretty hard to upgrade significantly. They've spent about £64million on new players since getting promoted. It's not like they're working on a shoestring budget In fact I think theyve spent about £71 million on players since being promoted. Which includes £8million on Lewis Grabban Other than Ibe though, the players you mentioned were in the £7-10m band. Does that really buy you players that are going to improve you above your rivals bearing in mind some championship clubs can buy those same players? There are hundreds of players you could buy for £7m that is a significant improvement on Gosling like But everyone else in the premier can also buy hundreds of players who are better than Gosling for £7m. I don't really understand your point TRon, to be honest. The original point was that Howe is gash in the market, by spending £70m and not improving the squad at all sort of points to the fact that may be accurate. Especially when you've clearly highlighted that anyone in this league could spend £7m on a midfielder and improve on Gosling - why hasn't Howe done that then when he's spent so much money on such average players? I never brought Gosling into this discussion, you did. My point is that small clubs like Bournemouth probably find it harder to attract good quality players when they don't have spending power to separate them from their rivals. The sort of budget they've got doesn't seem that much different to Watford or Swansea. Swansea improved their midfield since Bournemouth have been in the Premier League with the signing of Sigurdsson for £8m like, so the "small teams" like Bournemouth have had no problem improving their squads with good quality players - yet Howe hasn't at Bournemouth. Edit - Capoue and Watford, another example.
  13. Cant decide whether or not he's just a really shit footballer or if he's just not trying and doesn't want to be here.

  15. He has flashes of excellence every now and again, but he's been carried in a lot of games this season where he's played badly and we've still won. He's not been great, in all honesty but it's a long season and I'm sure his class will show through by the end of it.
  16. If I recall, Colback was pretty gash at the start of this season. Colback is okay at this level - nothing more, nothing less. He's an average Championship player which is why he looks competent at this level. Hayden is 6 years younger with the ability to improve significantly more than Colback, he'll have the odd shit game because he's a young player who hasn't been a first team regular for most of his career.

  18. Not as much as Anita, he looks like a duck.
  19. Shaqiri is so oddly shaped for a footballer
  20. Absolute travesty that this game will be played in front of 10,000+ empty seats. Really fancy us to win this, been buzzing for this game for weeks.
  21. Lowes thought that. Ando said a backpass off any part of the body other than the foot is allowed. Aye, has to be played with the foot for it to be pulled up.
