  1. Hmmmm I'd say he was pretty effective when he played but rarely played due to the insistence on playing one up front. He scored 1 goal in 6 months and got dropped for Daryl Murphy. Awaiting Optimistic Nut's reply..... How many games did he even start in those 6 months? He has the best scoring record in the PL out of all of our current strikers, he scores plenty for his national team whilst the other two wouldnt know what international football is, he started pre-season very well and has scored in his very few appearances this season. When he had a run in the side, he was very effective last season.
  2. Would love them to miss out on CL qualification like It wont happen, but would be hilarious.
  3. As fun as it is to rehash things Ashley or the club have said in the past it's the most pointless thing ever really. Like pushing water up a hill. But what if your house is on top of the hill. ... and it’s on fire.
  4. Iwobi should be nowhere near a top half PL side
  5. It’s weird how managers can have such a brilliant season where everything goes right and then the next season it just all falls apart and they fall out with everyone Mourinho (at Chelsea last spell), Ranieri, Conte... I’m sure there have been more but 3 recent examples that came to mind. Obviously expectations and pressure increases with success, but it seems to be internal failings each time that causes the problems.
  6. Yep. The key part is that this £15m wont be reinvested. We’ll sign the 3 players we were always going to (Kenedy, Jorgensen, GK) and the £15m we’ve got for Mitro will not be spent. So all we would do is strengthen a rival. If we bought those 3 players and more (or even invested the £15m on a £30m striker) then it’d be worth selling him, but the history tells us that we definitely wont be doing that and the £15m will be spent down Mike’s local.
  7. We’ll sign Jorgensen with money that was supposedly already available and the £15m for Mitro will disappear into fresh air.
  8. Would be crazy to shift him to a relegation rival. Especially when our only replacement is going to be a totally unproven 27 year old with 3 good seasons in his whole career.
  9. Swansea 0-3 Arsenal West Ham 2-2 Palace Huddersfield 0-2 Liverpool Chelsea 4-0 Bournemouth Everton 2-1 Leicester Newcastle 2-0 Burnley Southampton 1-1 Brighton Man City 5-0 WBA Stoke 1-1 Watford Spurs 2-2 Man Utd
  10. Jonny Evans can leave WBA for £3m if they are relegated
  11. The attention of a massive, passionate fan base. Exclusive interviews from the owner to Craigy help too.
  12. His 2nd part of that Tweet made me laugh, wonder if that is the same ‘gut feeling’ that he had when he said the takeover would happen. Sky being fed all sorts of propaganda by the club at the minute, which worries me massively.
  13. Im Danish as well and have the same view on Jørgensen as Michael. Normally i would be excited when Danes are linked with NUFC but in this case not so much. I think he is good but not really (that) suited for the PL - he should rather go to Spain or Italy imo. If he was signed as a 2nd or 3rd choice for less money it would be ok....but i do not see him as our saviour. (we should sign Delaney who is a box to box CM from Werder Bremen) To both. As others, I’m worried about this one - but he is another body/option in another position that we desperately need. For €20m we would struggle to sign anyone ‘proven’. Hopefully, he’ll contribute enough and turn out to be a decent signing. Get this knacker in, sign a keeper and we’ll have every chance of staying up imo. Trusting the opinion of a Scandinavian on a Scandinavian is the dumbest thing anyone can do tbh. Law of Jante far too ingrained in our system and we all hate anyone from our own countries doing well. Unbelievable gave his opinion, I think. He's from Feyenoord (IIRC) so he's someone that can be trusted. A bit like Bob Bradley? He's American. Apart from that small technicality, aye. The fact you don't like my opinion in general doesn't take away from the fact Scandos in general can't bring themselves to be positive about Scandos. I'm saying it's much better to trust the opinion of the likes of Unbelievable on a subject like this. Unbelieveable also said he isn’t sure if he could make the step up physically like. Trying to find someone who knows this lad and who is also positive he’s the answer, isn’t happening at the minute
  14. 20m would probably only get you an in-form Championship striker these days - we’ve been watered down so much by Ashley that people fail to see the going rate is the going rate.

  18. What are the rumours how much you've bid for Sessegnon/how much Fulham want for him? Supposedly they are asking upwards of 50M. We're rumoured to have offered 25M last year, then he signed a new contract. £50m? Fucking hell.
  19. More importantly, what are his stats on Football Manager and how many seconds until the window SLAMS SHUT?
  20. Apparently so. Any Dutch/Danes on here know anything about him? Nicklas Bendtner has more Danish caps than him... In all seriousness, never heard of him but hopefully Rafa has got this one right.
