All this hysteria based on what a handfull of papers who generally know nothing anyway are saying. I'll be reserving judgement until the end of the month personally, there's no point getting worked up at this stage its not as if we can do anything about it.

both seem riddiculously over priced. Hoping we find some Kante-esque gem to be honest as neither seem that overwhelming for the money being talked about.

On Traore, not seen him play at all but is his end product really as bad as people say? Just been looking at his stats for Barca B, and he got plenty of assists in La Liga 2. Could part of the reason for his poor record be that he was playing for Boro who were offensively none existent last season? Given he was 21 and it was effectively his first season in the league, based on his La Liga record I'd say he'd be worth a punt as a backup for Ritchie. Especially if it was a straight swap with Darlow, who as it stands is possibly our fourth choice keeper even if we don't sign anyone.

It was 5 million for both he and Jamaal, I think Jamaal was probably 75% of that fee. it was around 7-8 mill i thought.

Shame Quite explosive I have heard To be honest I prefer Cerci's youngest brother but I think he is a bit short to play in the Premier League. To be honest I prefer Cerci's youngest brother but I think he is a bit short to play in the Premier League. Is there a number we can text STOP to to end this shite?

That would be good move. Could give us options on the right and/or fill our vacant number 10 role

I wouldn't say that, consistently averaged almost one goal every two games for every club he's been at apart from Valciennes. And one in three for Cameroon, which is a decent international record. One in two record in the Champions League as well.

Aye it's obviously offside, it never needed to be perfect though. That s**** isn't good for the game. So it's ok for tight offside's to be incorrectly called? Ive always maintained yes. End of the day offside was only brought in to stop goal hanging. If a defence is going to live off an offside trap which ultimately shrinks the game then I say let them die by the sword occasionally. Attacking team should always get the benefit of the doubt if there is any. Not followed the full thread but with regards to that image posted I'd want that to be deemed onside. completely agree with this, whats the point disallowing a goal over one head's length. If we're to persist with the goal line technology then there should be a relaxing of the laws regarding what is offside. go back to daylight or something similar, no point disallowing a goal because his head was offside

Would rather send him on loan tbh, at his age sitting on the bench won't do him much good. fair enough if you can find a good enough club that will make him first choice, unlikely imo if he is the "real deal" at 20 he should be getting ready for first team football with us imo, play him in the cups and cover for the more experienced keeper He'd be destroyed by our fans if he played in a game and let a goal in due to "crisp packet hands". There's a big step up in quality from Under 20s football and the Premiership. Better to send him out on loan to prove himself as per Krul and Forster. i get that perspective, just don't agree with it He's had game time and plenty of it. I wouldn't have any issues with bumping him up to 3rd, maybe even 2nd choice if we get someone like Reina or Cabellero. Let him learn at the club alongside someone like that, another season out on loan next year to maybe a Championship side, then take it from there. I'd send him out on loan to a championship side if possible, with a recall option until January. possibly after giving him some games in pre-season and maybe a debut in the league cup, and then have someone like Elliot on the bench and recall Woodman if our new keeper gets injured, then they can fight it out to start. Reassess him in January based on his performances, although i'd only recall if there is a serious prospect of him getting game time. If we are mid table come the end of the season and he's been playing well but is still behind whoever our new number one is, then maybe give him a few games at the end.

I know its almost as bad as that NUFC360 twitter account..

We should be well all over that. Good price IMO. Looking at his career history he's had one good season in a top domestic league and he's 28. Not sure about this one.
-
Well his dreads are quite long if he just arrives without those then I'd say its a good deal.

Any sources saying what 80% of Ruben we've bid for?

Can't see us winning any straight fight with the team who'll be playing for the Champions League title. It's a sharp contrast for sure, but obviously it wouldn't be down to a straight fight if he came here. first link in google says he's always dreamed of playing in the PL. Also given the amount of racial abuse black players get in Italy I could see why he may want to come here.

Seems like a good deal that given the teams in the league next season.

Yeah, I can see it being a healthy contest between those two as to who should be the first choice. Gray and that Kamoah lad have only got one year left on their contracts. Get both of them, and Abraham on loan, and striking options of Gayle, Gray, Abraham and Kamoah for maybe 15 million would be ok for a first season back in the premiership. I'd rather we went 5-10 million more and got someone whose proven to score 15+ PL goals, but Abraham, Gayle and Gray have all hit 20+ in the Championship, and i'd imagine it would be good for competition as none are clearly better than the other so you wouldn't have someone who expects to start most/every game. It would also free up some money to spend on midfield and defence which is sorely needed. We don't need four strikers when we are only going to be playing with one Kamoah is only 18 so is more one for the future, and he can play out wide as well apparently, so it would really be 3 plus him. If we're going for Gray I'd ideally like Abraham as well, otherwise we'd still need Mitrovic.

The guys 26 and never played in the premier league. £12 million is more than fair they can fuck off if they want more.
-
Murphey's 34 I doubt we'll get anything like that for him. I'm not sure if Krul would be happy on the bench for Chelsea, he probably wants to go to the world cup. Darlow might though so an exchange deal could be good for both clubs.

Kinnear said to Viduka if he did the business on the park he could come in when he pleased and so he did. I know Owen is a c***, but he was a professional when it come to his fitness and training and when Kinnear took over the whole dressing room become a joke in terms of spirit and training. Kinnear for me is the worst manager we have ever had after Pardew, certainly since I've been a supporter and as far as the club is concerned over the last 50 years or so. Kinnear was worse than Pardew man, so was Carver. Those two were embarrassments, Pardew was just egotistical but without the managerial skills to back it up.

I think he makes a good point re the general attitude of the english to tactics, but you have to wonder what the fuck his assistants and team were thinking.
