This is the main thing for me, I feel you can add a couple of more names to that list, like alonso and poch... but I fear getting rid of howe to bring in someone like a iraola or glasner could be a massive gamble that could set the club even further back

As I stated in a previous thread I love howe, however for the 1st time during his stewardship, I do have reservations... but this is another massive reason why I think we should keep him is every name available is so underwhelming... would take alonso but he's going to Liverpool.... wouldn't mind poch or maresca but the rest Iraola,farbagas,de zebri etc are underwhelming

Stating the obvious but Something is 100% not right... from day dot of this season we haven't been able to get into a rhythm, there is no cohesion there is no togetherness there's no spirt which really has been so evident since January 2022... like the drop off from last season really should be scrutinised, what a lot of people forget is if we won our last 2 games of last season we would've finished 2nd... this summer really should of been one of optimism, positivity and excitement but instead it was the opposite... between the whole isak ordeal and the fact every major target publicly turned us down it was embarrassing... This season has been so strange, for me it feels so much like a pre take over season under rafa or Bruce the only thing is every single season since we came up in 2017 we seem to have a purple patch where we win a handful of games or go unbeaten, 2018 and 2019 under rafa we had strong finishes, I remember thinking particularly near the end of 2019 with that front 3 of miggy, ayoze and rondon that we could kick on if rafa stayed (we all know how that ended) even in 2021 we had that strong end to the season where wilock went on that brilliant goal scoring run... but this season we just can't get a rub of games going where we win 3 or 4 on the spin, and the thing which is really frustrating is 3 or 4 wins and wed be in the mix for Europe..... I do think the buck begins at board room level, the way the isak situation was handled and the way the recruitment was handled was very poor.... But the performances on the pitch have been the most concerning thing and there's only one person who can take responsibility for that unfortunately.... after the game against the Mackems, and the disaster class that was, the fact wee had 2 weeks to get back to the drawing board and give the fans a reaction and a real opportunity to make a late push for a European spot and it turned out to be the complete opposite the players looked lethargic, completely inept of any ideas and now that was the final nail in the coffin in what has been a complete damp squid of a season.... 25 pts isn't now dropped from winning positions ?.. I love howe, genuinely do he's in the same bracket as Keegan and Robson for me, but for the 1st time since he took over theres serious question marks over his name, signings this season have been dreadful and you can count on the one hand the good performances weve had.

Earliest memory of Newcastle was the fa cup QF against Everton in 99 when i was 5 ... been following toon religiously since 2001 and have to say without a doubt the most important signing in that period for me... left one of the top sides in Europe to come to us when we were looking certs for the championship... his performances from Jan 2022 - may 2023 truly where outstanding, was one of the best full backs in the world at that stage.... one of my fave players ever to wear the black n white stripes now and I thank him for his part in giving me some of the beat days ive ever had following Newcastle utd.... hope now he goes to Italy or somewhere like some are suggesting now... he's a legend ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️

Call me naive, and maybe even childish but where I could see tonali going to another English club, I honestly couldn't see Bruno going to man utd, city or any one else in the PL he genuinely loves the club,city and fans and I would be dumb founded if he went to man Utd despite the fact they'll be in the CL etc... if he's going anywhere it would be in Europe surely ? Would destroy me seeing him playing with man utd

Yeah dunno if its cus it's after the win on Wednesday, or the fact it's 8pm Saturday under the lights and you'd imagine the crowd will be up for it, but I just have this sneaky feeling where winning tonight (que a repeat of the league cup semi) lol.... on me own way the wee man today, so might make him miss his nap and take him to the park so he tires himself out so he's in bed early so I settle down way a few cans tonight and enjoy this lol
