Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
Shelveys Hair replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
There is a charge in the accounts still outstanding from 2016, its for Benton training ground which is registered to St James Holdings (listed at Ashley's home address) lending the facilities to the club. NUFC is listed as a borrower, Im not sure if its loaned to the club free of charge as no specific amount is listed. But it does mention cash in the terms of the agreement. The fat b@stard has a very tight grip on the club, its going to take a hell of a job for someone to undo. -
Armstrong payed for Rondon loan, Toney will pay for Marlon Santos loan and Lazaar will probably stay. They're selling youngsters to protect their profit. Hopefully it means he is doing off, but I wont hold my breath.

Ashley isnt going to give up straight away, it has to be a prolonged protest. If fans are not willing to go the extra mile then it wont happen. -

I think the main reason is this Justin Barnes bloke.. he got more involved in the January window of the McClaren season. We signed players no problem during that summer, but when he got involved everything slowed to a stop and hasnt changed since. -
Im pretty sure Justin Barnes came in just after the McClaren spending spree.

Rafa has a plan and certain players will fit into it.. wont always be players fans want and not all will work out, but he has an idea of the type of players he needs to do the job required.

SD takes the lion share of shirt sales and merchandise as well. And remember when you're are buying from the online club shop it is SD website with a NUFC skin on it. -
He has got a muscle disease called myopathy.. will probably affect his chances of getting a top level move.

Heres the trick.. we pay for transfers upfront and dont seem to mind selling players over a period of time for x amount in installments. So if we sell a player for £30 million over 6 years thats £5 million a season. By us paying upfront for our deals we can only use £5 million of that £30 million to buy a new player. We dont get to invest the full £30 million in a new player. It may contribute to paying for 6 players over the 6 seasons however, but it stops us having the same buying power as cloobs who are willing to do deals paying in installments. -
Full interview with Rafa on Friday.

But up until the latest accounts, I bet Rafa had a good knowledge of proper accounts via Stavely. The bloke would not be out of place in the Roman senate. -
Its funny the only other people who know NUFC accounts intimately other than Ashley's cronies is Stavely and her people and she does appear to be quite close with Rafa Maybe he should be a politician.

So is it possible Ashley includes the loss of NUFC in his personal tax return meaning 47% of that loss is recovered by paying less tax? -

A clue in the accounts might be how Ashley has paid himself parts of the loan back in the past. Im sure people noticed after both promotion seasons from the championship.. Mike had a problem with bonuses for the players. Both Joey Barton and Lascalles had exactly the same problem, it suggests history with this tw@t repeats itself. -

So in reality the debt owed to should have actually decreased by £3m? I wish even one journalist would start seriously looking into our accounts against Ashleys spin. Does it state anywhere in the accounts how much was currently owed at that point in time? You would have to look here https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00031014/filing-history to find out, but its what was being reported. Wouldnt the original £18m have to come from the club to reduce the debt? and if it did why is it part of a secured loan from mike Ashley himself? How do you repay debt from a loan without reducing the loan? IDK. I suppose its why Im not rich -

Chris Waugh of the chronicle reports "In Charnley’s statement, he refers to the “support and backing” Ashley provided - in the form of a one-off £15m interest-free loan, taking the total money the club owe the Sports Direct billionaire to £144m - while he also stresses such an approach was “only made possible by the continued financial support of the owner”. So £15m was added to the £129m the club owes Mike Ashley. But I took a look at the accounts a while back when I was bored and drunk. The loan was actually £33m and Ashley used the other £18m to repay himself some of the loan the club owed him? http://i65.tinypic.com/15ebivm.jpg F**k knows -

Is this scenario at all possible? You have 2 businesses, 1 is massively profitable the other makes nowt therefore why not take some of the profitable bit of business 2 and move it to business 1 meaning the 2nd makes a bigger loss while the 1st a bigger profit. Ashley then includes the loss of NUFC in his personal tax return meaning 47% of that loss is recovered by paying less tax!
