  1. I know I'm jumping to conclusions, but can't help thinking Moussa is on his way. Hope I am wrong.
  2. Guardian today: "I'm a fast player on the wing ... I will keep the ball and give great service to Char... [sorry] the forwards...". 'Told that Chris Waddle believes he will eventually star for a leading Premiership club [cheers Chrissy...] ... " First of all, I'd like to thank the great sausage mangling goon [?translation....] for the nice compliment...It's very kind. I hope to be one of the best players in the world. I need to make sure I work hard to achieve that goal." Left or right ?(no mention of no. 10, from him) "I like playing both. On the left I can put great crosses in ... On the right I come inside and shoot or slip a pass in behind the defence." Elsewhere talks of being physically ready and excited for Old Trafford (if called upon), and particularly positive re SJP: "I've been told it's a magnificent atmosphere here...Very similar to Marseille's stadium. I can't wait." Not the only one cocker...

Holy s***. That's a lot of negative just before a game. Can't see anyone wanting to give it their all today or in the future. He's just p*ssed off the only player who can find the net regularly as well. Had a go at the owner Told all the players to f*** off Singled out their only goal threat whilst telling him he'll be benched if he doesn't play on the wing Said his new signings are s*** At best they've got a relegation fight to look forward too No money to spend Won't commit to the club Only section he didn't have a go at is the fans. No usually they'd lap all that up since thry get off Scott free, but even the most tragic of mackem can see that interview is basically f***ing them over before he walks. Well, it is enough to make you feel...no. Actually it isn't. Does serve to remind though, it could be a lot worse.

To be fair, Milan has two airports. One is Malpensa, which tends to handle inter continental flights and is a long way outside the city, but Linate, which handles European flights, is very close to the city centre. Wtf...
  5. 'Spitting'( overcast-rainy not Sex Pistols-Cisse) in Manchester.... Fighting back wave of delusional optimism....fear I am going to lose the battle: reinforcements due 12:45.
  6. Sense he's going to be a bit wasteful, just hope fans in stadium, coaches, and people like us, keep being encouraging. Focussing on the pearls which I also think will come, will hopefully help him keep trying. If he's a confidence player, as the most talented flair players (if not all players to some extent) seem to be, and given his age, big move and hassle/negativity with former 'fans', here's to getting behind him! If we settle for one in five crosses/shots/dribbles coming off, the five can become 3, or 2, but will never be 1/all. Just get him on the pitch Steve! Please.
  7. Amen to that. Mitro-stay-on-the-pitch: please Steve; and please Aleksandar.
  8. you'd never get sign-up my prosimian friend, to Queensbury rules I mean; plenty would fancy a fight. Have to settle for mass pile-in, perhaps 50p entry, Compulsory makinis (...one for the laaadies), soaps suds, oh...and St Jonhn's Ambulance in attendance if TCD is turning out.
  9. There are a crop of 'world' players which a high proportion of footy fans have heard of, these would sit alongside players from our own league, as known and exciting (potentially) 'bandstand' signings. The first lot aren't going to come, unless they are towards the end of their career or still have something to prove before they will guarantee their place in a champions league regular. The second lot, unfortunately, in EPL are notoriously overpriced. I share some of the views about most of our crop being a gamble. Or more of a gamble than we'd want, because you're always taking a chance bringing a player in. But what choice do we have, I mean realistic choice? Getting a crop of £10m plus players (and some exciting young prospects too) is about the best we could hope for. Will they all become world beaters? Doubt it (though at present can't see us holding on to Wi-aye-man unless we have a good one, and show promise for further improvement: he is a class act) but we are in there, searching and competing for young talent. It feels good, and even though mid table mediocrity is the likely endpoint, the journey looks like it could be fun; and to me most of us seem more excited about this season than any recent season I can recall.
  10. Our average guess, so far as still missing 6 from last week (and 9 overall) looks like this, the shortest odds result is also shown [skybet t'other day] Home win, Away win, or Draw: Man Utd 2 v Newcastle 0 (10 choosing as double-up game) [H] Crystal Palace 1 v Aston Villa 1 (3 doubles) [H] Leicester 1 v Spurs 2 (2) [H] Norwich 1 v Stoke 2 (0) [H] Sunderland 0 v Swansea 2 (8; hats off to triggs, 0-6!) [A] West Ham 1 v Bournemouth 1 (0) [H] West Brom 0 v Chelsea 2 (7) [A] Everton 1 v Man City 2 (1) [A] Watford 1 v Southampton 2 (0) [A] Arsenal 2 v Liverpool 1 (3) [H]
  11. I can't see it at the mo, but bet you a pound to a penny, I'll be convinced by kick-off!
  12. This seems a tad negative IMO and, if I'm picking it up right, overconfident in your belief about Cashley's deliberate negative intent. That is being seen to try and make a go of the club, but just tipping his cap at it really; because we don't like him... Personally, I'd need a fair bit of evidence to buy-in to that level of paranoia. From the outside looking in, we've made some cracking signings. Doubt Real Madrid are going to be depressed about missing out on any of them, but I assume that is because we are where we are. Not because we are pitching too low/being half-arsed. I also think, having made the signings and appointed a former national coach, that we are now in a better position to sign a top rank CB. Fingers crossed...
  13. Good on ye Vurn! I'm sure we all want to see him at his absolute best. Whether he makes the cut or not, a bit of recognition surely helps.
  14. between djmatiss and KaKa, that glass doesn't know whether it's half empty, half full, a quart or a pint pot! Looking forward to it myself. Anticipation often the best part, of my experience of being a Newcastle supporter, sadly. Howay the lads, the Mancs don't like it up 'em!
  15. I vote for Kanji's selection: assuming that is that de Jong isn't chomping at the bit/ looking on fire in training, Sissoko is off checking out Italian Mansions, and Tiote isn't doing the same as de Jong and/ or Sissoko.
  16. On reflection, aren't we supposed to wait until he's left--been snapped up by a club that offers a more promising future, and/or more dosh-- before ripping into/'going their' with his other half? Need to check my copy of supporters etiquette, on this one. At least Waddler got this courtesy, if indeed such activity could ever be described as a courtesy. FT hasn't even started yet, apart from free SD (Seriously Dodgy) promo (nice work by the way Mojo!) and here we are... Funny, kebab thing 'pass chilli sauce' certainty made me chuckle, but early: premature haven-invasion/ masterbation/denunciation: tick option that applies.
  17. FWIW Rodney, I actually prefer your lass. Captivating example of lively young womanhood. How does she effect your blogging?
  18. The Thauvin-Waddle similarities just keep coming... ('u') ... We're even talking about shagging his lass now.
  19. Right, only came-up with Subotic and Nastasic; not sure how good they are; don't recall latter being commanding for City, former rivals Colo in the hair dept; doubt either could chin Mitro.... Alan's Dad, we need you!
  20. I'd rather have a Commanding Serbian Psycho Centre Back (...me teeth nearly fell oot!) who can keep him on a short leash/chin him when the need arises. Oh... [note to self] in future start your wish list from actually available, or at least real, players....
  21. Just reading that, makes me want to celebrate... EXCLUDING one or two 'Championship' triumphs, can't be many on here who have seen us win something. Thanks AB.
