Anita and Colback really pushing up, Wijnaldum great tracking back. Fluid, promising! -

World would be a nicer place with a bit more optimism, Mr Pres. Especially given the time spent in anticipation of events is nearly always much longer than the time the events take. Must have been a hellish long flight though? (Only kidding). -
Sounds like horseshit to me. I have heard though, that Selhurst Park is now known as a "Pard-Venue", I.e. home to a "an obscure person who has made a great fortune" (aka 'Parvenu'). However, maybe a bit of sympathy is due here, as he's clearly suffering from chronic N.S-A.D (Narcissistic Self-Aggrandizement Disorder). Produces disabling symptoms of swollen head, swaggering gait, excessive gas, motor mouthed raving, and pretension. Tragic... for Palace fans I mean.

Feel the same mate. Hope a positive team selection keeps the enthusiasm going; even if it looks a bit defensive in a 'the house praises the builder' way, I suspect I'll stay excited for as long as it doesn't evolve into a spanking. Love the thought of our fans/toonmates around the world perching on sofas --in various states of sleep deprivation--hopefully with beer in hand as many will have here around the UK. Here's to the international brotherhood ?

There's a new thread emerging here, midfield stars/or even performances you've particularly 'enjoyed'. Whilst I liked Roy Aitken, and Kevin Brock in the main, those two and Billy Askew against the Makems at St James' 1990 was a particular highlight for me.... only eclipsed by our own fans incompetence: invading the pitch and snapping a crossbar, when the game was already lost.

You've probably seen this by now: http://www.itv.com/news/tyne-tees/update/2015-08-28/steve-mcclaren-we-dont-need-to-sell-we-dont-want-to-sell/? I hadn't. Thanks for posting. Couldn't hear the questions very well, but with the telling 'Cheicky... to get ready' comment and ambivalence about Sissoko's readiness... anybody else think that may mean playing three defensive midfielders (probably with Wijnaldum left and Thauvin right), rather than the 'have a right go' type formations we've been advocating? Or maybe he was intimating that, whilst keeping cards close to chest?

After 25 sets of predictions, here are our collective guesses (median of home goals vs away goals): Newcastle 1 v Arsenal 1 Aston Villa 1 v Sunderland 1 Bournemouth 1 v Leicester 2 Chelsea 2 v Crystal Palace 0 Liverpool 2 v West Ham 0 Man City 3 v Watford 0 (8 nominations) Stoke 2 v West Brom 0 Spurs 1 v Everton 1 Southampton 2 v Norwich 1 Swansea 2 v Man United 1 Fingers crossed (except the second one, like...) -
Totally agree. I do expect a top ten finish though, given the current squad and promising signs of effective management/coaching. With the right additional central defender, I would revise upwards slightly and say top 8 as an expectation. A good cup run would also help.

Hadn't heard that before, but like it. Might need Brian Johnson to turnout and get it cranked up: TOW VAHN w-w-w wow-wow-wow-wow... TOW VAHN w-w-w wow-wow-wow-wow...
