Picturing Hakka and KI getting into the spirit! When transfer fees are exZORBAtant, you have to make your own entertainment...

So the club are buying their targets regardless of Rafa's input? We've been here before  What? Is Ryder really Rafa?

Any tips re transfers: do you a certain number of transfers per week? Can you select players from teams playing early, e.g. Arsenal and Leicester on 11th and then transfer then out for games on 12th?

Does nowt for me like...

http://i2.chroniclelive.co.uk/incoming/article13391580.ece/ALTERNATES/s1227b/LAP_NEC_260717nufc_28JPG.jpg That stand (Midland Road) is supposed to hold 8000, yet 2,400 quoted as attendance?? Might that have been tickets bought from NUFC? Streams of people paying on the turnstile. -
Would be surprised if there was only 2,400 there last night. Streams of people paying on the turnstile and looked closer to 4000. Not sure how many the stand holds? [edit: Midland Road stand holds 8000, didn't look less than half full, though didn't see from other side of pitch]

Just got back from match. Aarons and Hayden clearly best players on the pitch for me. Their no 2 really couldn't live with Rolando. Clattered him out of sheer frustration at one point and Aarons looked like he'd lost it for a second/was concerned he was going to nut him!. Lejeune looked alright though not up against much. Murphy was dying to chuck in a trick or two and I loved his first goal; very composed. Perez whilst playing some tidy stuff still managed to drive me mad. Received the ball as our most advanced player, on two occasions, 30-40 yards of open space between him and the goal and he trys a low probability pass to someone, basically in a worse position. So wish he had a bit more drive/aggression. Didn't notice Manquillo much (on other side of pitch with not much to do). Mitro looked slow and should have done better with a cracking cross from Aarons; who also made his goal by getting to a ball, which he had no right to, and nicking it off the defenders toe. De Jong was alright but surprisingly scuffed the ball on a few occasions. Gayle, Shelvey and Ritchie good quality in first half, without being outstanding (for them). Gayle's goal went in off his shins as he was going down for a pen! Good game, great sized following. Rafa looked happy at the end and seemed to appreciate being serenaded as he walked back from coming to applaud the fans. -
Driver looks about same height. Merino listed as 6'2"... if anyone has a pic of Driver and Atsu (at nipple height), it is probably safe to confirm

Fair point. But I'd be more enthusiastic if we were taking a player away from a Bundesliga first team (that they'd miss/have to replace) rather than one surplus to requirements/being offloaded. Doesn't mean he's s***. But if he has only been a starter in Segunda Division (not as strong as Championship) he kind of might be/less evidence he has what it takes for PL.

Ok, 35 appearances (6 goals) for Osasuna 2015/16 (29 apps 1 goal 2014/15). Both in second division. Seemingly unsuccessful transfer to Bundesliga (8 apps, only 2 starts at CB). Still not feeling it. Go get Samaris, you thumbheeded knobjockey.

He started two games, out of position, last season. Suggest we'd need a few more stages between underwhelming and solid. Having caught sight of him during his year at Osasuna and followed the story of his transfer to BVB, I'm confident that he's a talented player and means an area of weakness - central midfield - is addressed, therefore leaving us a striker short of what I consider the bare minimum. It's just my opinion but I think there's a player in there and a first choice rotation of Shelvey, Hayden and Merino would have a lot of promise. reassuring to hear.

Tapas > Meze, it seems. Wish we could drum-up a Swedish rumour and add smorgasbord to the options

Shame he's not a centre back mind. Midfielder, two starts at centre back last season. Poor man's Eric Dier? https://www.whoscored.com/Players/238916/Show/Mikel-Merino

Central defender with 2 starts and 6 sub appearances last season... we should be all over that one, like
