Aye, funnily enough i work with a lot of Tottenham fans who said Tripps was defensively terrible. Goes to Simeone and gets trained to defend in a 4-4-2, Tripps has lost that discipline now. He's back to the Tottenham version, but 10 years older and slower.

Ah got you, apologies mate. FWIW, i do think Eddie has got the rotation of the squad wrong, and something i think is quite clear, he doesn't really like using youngsters during an injury crisis, and i think is oversight on his part. I mean Miley has proved if you're good enough you'll play, and Eddie must see that himself by Miley's example. The RB area with a clearly out of form, and liability in Trippier, would playing Shahar for instance be any worse ?
-
The system Eddie plays is all about the full backs, and we have a good LB, and right an utter liability at RB, and Trippier is killing us. Aye we should have bought a RB, but we didn't if we believe what the club are saying about availability and value in the winter market.
-
The squad is quite strong when all are fit, but the injuries have/are killing us. And, unlike Man City for instance we can't address those injuries in the transfer market, not just because of transfer fees, the wages are a wall to us too. You know all that though, just say you want Howe out. It's a fair position to have if you do. I wouldn't agree, but it's opinions.

I definitely think the 4-3-3 needs binning in the guise it is now anyhoo. Tweak it so we have a presence in front of the back four, and not spread our CM's too wide, we got overrun so easily in CM now. Teams are playing on it, and having so much success.

How will you know if he doesn't get that chance ? That's the thing, he needs to be given the time and backing this summer too.
-
For context, we played less games in the Champions League though, and played our last game in that on Dec 13th after being eliminated. Better chance to at least rest a bit more than now.
-
I wouldn't have, but i wouldn't have played 4-3-3 though. 4-4-1-1 or 4-2-3-1. With at least one player shielding the defence, and i know this is not going to happen, but we need a proper 6 (it's 4 imo as i'm old).
-
I suppose because we play away at Tottenham Tuesday, then Villa away at the weekend.
-
It's the only time, it's why we should stand by him. Get new players now we have our director of football or whatever Ross Wilson's title is. And, if we start next season poorly, then aye Eddie will be gone imo.
-
The fuck has happened to our defensive stability, it was our calling card.
-
Same as theirs, accidental but a penalty.
-
More 4-4-1-1 like, basically the same.
-
4-4-fucking-2.
-
Aye, can only assume he's not suited to playing in a two now we've switched.
-
To be fair it would be Tino, and we look a far better side when he's there. And as good as Murphy has been, it's time for him to go. Tripps should have at the end of last season.
-
Apart from Hall and Willock, we have no pass and moves at all. Everything is static and shapeless. And our right side in Trippier and Murphy, we have two players who look atrocious in everything they do. It's so poor.
-
We did, but couldn't anyone in better. But you paint in the worst light if you want.
-
Good corner that, no one coming in at the back post.
-
Too fucking easy ffs.
-
Can't let them have such an easy overload on that throw in, that was ridiculous.
-
Murph is having one of those games
-
Surprising

I can understand the Howe out talk, and also think it's complete and utter shite at the same time. Yes, we're not playing well, anyone can see that. However, how does anyone say Howe out ? When we've just been knocked out of the semi-final of the League Cup, made to the knockout stages of the Champions League. Still in the FA Cup. League form is a worry, but as I think it was TCD who pointed out, you expect a dip with the squad and the games we have to play. The best manager we've had in my life time (better then KK as he won a trophy), and we get rid because of a down season ? A down season ? A down season other clubs would think was amazing. I would say imo some of us have become a tad entitled. Even ardent Howe backers like me are not blind to the drop off, but that drop off has still achieved the above. It's why I think it's a dip, caused by losing Isak, the amount of games and new players not hitting the ground running. I still believe in Eddie, wholeheartedly.
