  1. But you can't have you CF isolated when you have 5 in midfield, and not one of them is holding. It's mad how we look at times, it's even more baffling as when we play well, we get lots of players around the CF. Someone mentioned it earlier, we're so slow in build up, turning back and sideways, that gives the opposition time to get set. I dunno, everything is so passive.
  2. Gary Neville said something i took notice of in the week, he mentioned our wide players stay too wide and leave our CF isolated. And this game sums that up quite well, Big Nick holding on to it might help. Every game i watch i see a CF come off our CB into space, when we do it, our CF has a player on him. It's so poor.
  3. Good on the ball, no real threat against us. Woeful in creation, rancid in fact.
  4. That would never have been played here, not because of the pitch but the safety of the spectators. We're pathetic as soon as any snowflakes fall.
  5. This is where i think our formation doesn't help us at times against teams like Man City. Man Utd have had a proper narrow 3 in CM, two holding with Fernandes (roaming when they have the ball) in front, our three CM's are spread wide. The Man Utd have set up has restricted Man City set up like this. We never really dominate games as we never have the numbers in the middle, i wish Eddie would tweak that sometimes especially against teams like Man City, Brighton are another who give us problems in the middle of the park.
  6. Deserved lead that like, great break.
  7. Carrick drops Sesko just when he seemed to be finding his feet and playing well, interesting.
  8. Gameweek 22 Man United 1-3 Man City Chelsea 2-1 Brentford Leeds 1-1 Fulham Liverpool 3-1 Burnley Spurs 2-1 West Ham Sunderland 1-1 Palace Forest 0-3 Arsenal Wolves 1-2 Newcastle Villa 2-0 Everton Brighton 2-2 Bournemouth
  9. So undeserved this like, while we haven't had too many clear chances, we don't deserve a 0-2 defeat. We actually played quite well, against the 131 charges Many City, who are still buying players without a care in the world.
  10. Our set piece coach can get in the sea, we've been terrible since he came to the club, let off or not it's been shite.
  11. Aye, it's a daft argument and unfair, although there is a little bit of why haven't we signed more bargains query in there. We should be better at it, i think that's clear, time will tell if we will be. We need the stability of Ross Wilson staying, not the Ashworth and the gobshite that followed him scenarios.
  12. That is a very very good point. It would be an endless argument neither side could win.
  13. Aye, and the problem with the argument is people will cite examples, like Munoz from Palace (RB), Truffert from Bournemouth (LB) and or say Savinho from Man City (RW) as value buys. And you could name numerous players Brighton sign, or even Wolves etc. And gems other clubs have signed, the LB at Sunderland looks a very good player to be fair. OK, there's some merit in that, but looking at players like that in hindsight is so easy. We don't have that kind of scouting/buying model yet, sounds like that's the way we're heading to, but we aren't there yet and not a stick to beat the club with. And as you said, name someone right now who we could sign. The real world isn't FM, we clearly have to be better, and i think we will be in the coming seasons.
  14. So much more control of the ball, difficult to judge from just half and hour, but it looks so much more fluid.
  15. Nobody is deep, it's Tonali and Ramsey playing as a two box to box. With Nick roaming in front of them making spaces for them to move into.
  16. This is decent, Nick is on the ball a lot more as a 10. Liking this quite a lot.
  17. Yeah reckon so, has to be.
