It seems we're back to not wanting to use loans, seems daft as they're seems to be some decent players available in England and abroad.

He'll be replacing both imo if he does sign, i actually think it's quite sensible if he can stay fit, which he won't so that'll make it mental to sign him. But as player with his ability i certainly would have him in the squad.

I think we're going to miss Rondon more than any other player, our league form with him in was brilliant. Whether Joelinton will fill that void is a wait and see, but i just don't see him with the lack of experience especially in England, being as streetwise and difficult as Rondon was to play against. Not so much missing the goals, it's the hold up play and being that focal point up top that we'll need desperately this season. He could be superb to be fair to him, time will tell i guess.

Don't forget we had £11m from last season, so i reckon it's only a £19m net spend, also bet your bollocks to a barn dance we didn't spend £40m on Joelinton.

I reckon you're right about Aarons starting as left wing back, Yedlin has only just starting training from injury and Atsu the same, just guessing with the subs and line up obviously.

It's just a fancy word, it's the sitting/holding midfielder of the central midfield 3, call it whatever but that's the reality imo. If Shelvey can defend and sniff out the dangerous attacks, then he'd be very effective with his long passing range in that position when we win possession back to counter. It's the defensive discipline and know how part that i seriously doubt Shelvey will have. A bit like when Beckham thought he could do the same job for England.
