  1. Yep, we don't have to with the length left on his contract. We hold all the cards in the deal, that really is the long and short of it. I suppose if Isak refuses to play, maybe that changes things, but i don't think he'll do that.

I was about to say that, Ramsdale is a previous Howe buy.
  3. If you go by what Tripps said, it's a genuine injury, and what else Tripps said made me not lose all hope, it was a little encouraging.
  4. Think it's clear now, it's competition for Pope, not to replace him. Maybe why Trafford didn't sign, probably no guarantee of the NO.1 spot.
  5. Well done, but what on earth is the BBC commentator on about
  6. If that happens 95% of people will forgive him, rightly or wrongly that'll be it.
  7. Every chat goes to the extreme of each end, it's pathetic at times, it's bonkers like. There's middle ground, which most people populate. Thinking a player is good, doesn't mean we shouldn't replace them, but in the case of Pope he's 33, he's still a very good GK, and in my opinion he's doesn't need replacing yet. However if a clearly better GK came up, then yes buy him, that's football isn't it ?
  8. Alisson is the best in the world for me. City's overall play means the GK has to play with their feet. And Arsenal, well their GK playing with his feet cost them in the semi final of the League Cup to us. I think it's an overblown skill for a GK in the Premier League, but that's my opinion. And, every GK makes mistakes, even the best. And, as far as i recall Pope didn't make more than most. Unless we can secure a world class GK, it's not a position i think we need to worry about during this period of having the get the buys right due to PSR.
  9. Looks like a groin problem, hopefully just a precaution to come off.
  10. Agreed, but my point is his kicking doesn't affect things like some make out. As in, if we signed a GK with better feet it would mean we would be so much better. Frankly i think that's nonsense, but must admit I'm biased, as i do think Pope is a rather good GK.
  11. I said GK, not shot stopper. I mean the package, even with the less than perfect kicking.
  12. Well i don't agree they let him down that much, yes his kicking is not good, but i think there's far too much emphasis placed on it, when in reality it doesn't affect things that much. 5th in the league, won the cup. And how many goals or games did we lose because of it ?
  13. Great save by Pope, he's a good GK despite what some might think.
  14. Joel will kill that 15 year old with a stare, let alone at boot.
  15. Yeah, it's part of the new laws. If a GK holds on too long i believe the ref can award a corner, as well.
  16. Oggy, fantastic one as well. Came from Arsenal falling down like fannies again mind. Reminds me why i hate them so very much.
  17. Bruno's fault that, just lay it off to Willock. Simple pass as well.

Explain this please ? We won't pay Brentford £50m, quite right too. How does that damage our reputation that we won't overpay for Wissa ? Added (if true) that Wissa was told by Brentford he could move for £26m.
