Theres no Dummet so who knows who is going to fill in at LB I'd rather have a half decent player out of position at LB than someone utterly shit out of position there. Or we could just play Gibson there, a LB. Never know he might just take to first team footy a bit like Mbabu did. -

If you say Colback five times looking in a mirror he comes out of it and makes you ginger. Think i'd rather say candyman three times. -

True but Leicester have lost, only 3 games all season is it ? Not every team has been casual, even when teams have kept it tight against them, Norwich and Watford lately. Leicester have found a way, one thing though, if we score early, might make it very interesting. Oh yeah, I expect Leicester to find a way to beat us, I just hope to see signs of improvement or at least better motivation. Aye, absolutely. -

Blimey it's as if we need Pardew for this game haha, well the difference is rafa actually knows how to do these things WELL. Rafa is a defensive/pragmatic coach, I wouldn't be surprised if we use this tactic tbh. It doesn't matter if you have 10 men behind the ball with pardew in charge as none of them have a clue what they should be doing. It's weird because while i reckon we'll get done, quite easily if i'm honest. I'm looking forward to it, even if we do get done 2 or 3, i want to see some sort of shape, some sort of system in place. Something completely lacking in McClaren's set up and Pardew's most of the time. Man City got done good and proper at home by Leicester, they're a good side, the table don't lie. We get a point and it'll be a massive result for us. I completely agree, a draw would be a HUGE morale booster and might also be the point that keeps us up. I think the reason City got destroyed was that they tried to play too open and expansive, as you'd expect, whereas west brom for example just played Pulis tactics and it largely worked. I don't think we can expect too much of a difference tbh, he's not even had 1 week to work with the players, I'm mainly expecting (hoping) to see them actually trying, listening to the manager (not head coach) and not giving up even if we go 2-3 down. The game after Sunderland is the game we should see a lot more, there's an international break after it i think. That's should give Rafa a good bit of time to get his ideas/coaching across. I know he has this week before Sunderland, but that game could be anything with a sending off early as can happen, being a derby makes it all up in the air. Actually hoping hippo head and them think they're going to win it because of the 6 in a row, bit of over confidence from them would be nice. -

We've bought a fair few with Carr as well mind, except no trophies to soften the blow. Exactly the point, you can buy some duffers along the way, but if you build a good side with decent buys and win trophies, who cares.
-
Rafa bought some absolute donkeys at Liverpool like, care not if we win as many trophies mind.
-
Which is what we need to stay up as the tried and trusted shit have us where we are. (Not saying Marvs the answer mind.)
-
That's it in a nutshell, beat them two when we play them, then pick up a couple of other wins. My worry is how gutless our players can be, we need a win asap to get confidence into the numpties.
-
One major difference, all those teams were decent. We're utterly awful right now, and you can't polish a turd no matter how much brasso you use.
-
If we do stay up, the summer is going to be fascinating. For the first time in a decade it's genuinely might feel like something to look forward to.

3 staff joining with him, we're keeping Cathro and Simon Smith as well.
-
Going to be funny when we get stuffed 4-0 at Leicester
-
Yep, i'm just worried we have left it too late, mainly because we have a bunch talented but gutless footballers.
-
Thank fuck for that, utter disaster of an appointment.

What the fuck is that jumble supposed to mean? The quality of the Daily Mail articles isn't the best like

Rafa Benitez hoping to be appointed Newcastle manager on Friday ahead of Monday's trip to league leaders Leicester Rafa Benitez is set to replace Steve McClaren as Newcastle manager Spaniard's proposed £4m-per-year deal is nearing completion Former Real Madrid boss is eager to get to work with his players He had expected McClaren to be sacked by the club yesterday Rafa Benitez wants to be installed as Newcastle manager by the end of Friday and begin work with the players ahead of Monday’s trip to Leicester. Talks between the Spaniard’s representatives and managing director Lee Charnley are at an advanced stage and a £4million-per-year three-year deal – with a break clause should the Magpies be relegated – has been agreed in principle. Benitez, however, had expected Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren to be sacked yesterday, freeing the way for his move to St James’ Park to be finalised. That did not happen – even though McClaren is expecting the axe – and it has delayed Benitez’s arrival by at least 24 hours. The former Real Madrid boss is ready to leave his home in the Wirral and travel to the North-East to take up the role, once final details such as backroom staff have been agreed. Newcastle are desperate to land the 55-year-old and they have been encouraged by a positive reaction to the news among supporters, who are growing increasingly exasperated at the club’s failure to fire dead-man walking McClaren. Jonjo Shelvey, who had been appointed captain in recent weeks, believes the players have let down their outgoing boss. ‘He (McClaren) is at the forefront of it, which he doesn’t deserve,’ he said. ‘I think the players have let the club down. I don’t feel as though the manager has. I feel it’s the players. ‘I feel like I’ve let the club down because I’ve had the captain’s armband twice and we’ve lost. It’s lovely to be made captain. ‘The manager has shown a lot of faith in me to do that. I obviously adore him for that. It’s just a shame I have not been able to pick up the wins.’

Might have been a good idea to play Perez, and not Gouffran or Riviere. Or maybe win a few more games. Bye you useless tit.
