  1. How times have changed when Stoke are a more attractive club than Newcastle. They aren't like, they'd have to do a Leicester to be remotely more attractive than us. Shit club, shit place, shit fans. Truly awful place We're just more mental than everyone else.
  2. Way too soon i think, barely played for Chelsea yet.
  3. He would makes us instantly better, couldn't care less about the price myself. That's the going rate for everyone now, the TV deal has blown prices utterly mental.
  4. If you believe some of things in the papers his release clause is £25m, if that's true this could be a goer as we're so close to it (if true). Us bidding £21m Us bidding £25m
  5. Aye for once our usual tightness might be a blessing.
  6. I am working on the foolish but only logical explanation that we are bringing Doumbia in as well. Gomis will compete with Mitro and replace permacrock Cisse. There was talk of loaning Riviere out to Forest a while back wasn't there. A run somewhere else in the UK would make a lot of sense. Wouldn't Riviere be the player to compete with Mitro though ? Doumbia most definitely in as the rapid/finisher player. As of right now he is, but I don't think there is anyone here that has any belief he could actually compete with Mitro. Better to loan him out to a championship side so he can actually get games and the proper chance to adapt to English football, bring Gomis in as cover. Doumbia would gives us something we have missed since Martins..but hopefully with a bit more intelligence. Worrying he hasn't played in a while though, don't know how long it would take him to get match fit. I suppose he's in the same situation as Townsend for match fitness if he's been playing any friendlies or getting some football away from Roma's 1st team.
  7. Shame about Berahino but it was always a long shot. Would have preferred Remy personally. Did i miss something today, is it definitely over the chase for him ?

  9. Surely Gomis is similar to Mitro, a big striker. I'd have thought we need someone like Gayle or Doumbia, a speedster who can fiinish. Actually Berahino really.
  10. Tell that to the two centre mids and the left winger we've signed, as well as the potential striker we are probably going to sign. You're worse than Ian W and Brett were, man. Pitiful stuff. Doesn't get much more damming than that[emoji38] It's nice to see Ron's mellowed while i was absent
  11. Hold up, we might get Gomis and Doumbia. What the feck is going on
  12. Looks out, not sure how a lino can see that in a split second and be sure.
  13. Was asking a mate who's a Spurs fan about him... says he can be a decent player on his day, but he can't cross a ball. Great... just what you need in a winger. My boss is a Tottenham fan and rates him but thinks he needs a good run in a side, i like him if i'm honest. Not being able to cross will mean he'll fit right in though
  14. Apparently he hasn't, that's the problem Oh ffs
  15. He's got pace, can beat a man and likes a pop at goal, and as long as he has a functioning brain unlike Obertan, he should be quite good for us imo.
  16. If you score goals you can take pressure of your defence, if you continue to miss chances then that pressure becomes too much for the defence in the end. Our defence not being that good anyway makes it worse even still. Sign both, get a defender and a striker in, common sense won't prevail though, obviously.
  17. People keep saying this. He wasn't released because he wasn't good enough. Nobody genuinely believes that. He was released because he fell out with the manager and influential members of the squad - like he did at previous clubs. This is no James Milner situation where people felt he genuinely wasn't good enough. The situation of his departure makes no difference to how monumentally stupid a decision it was - so no wonder people bring it up. But the situation is the reason he left. If a player falls out with a manager and influential members of any squad - he's not going to remain at that club. Those players were out shittiest backing up our shittiest manager, not a surprise as a proper manager would have kicked them straight out for being shit. Colo, Willo, Shola. We kept those piles of shit and boss piss lips and got rid of a natural talent that comes along very rarely. God we're such a tragic mess of a club.
  18. Found this ridculously funny
