I'd prefer to see us spend the 12-15m on Sakho rather than Mangala but i'll trust Rafa's judgement on it. It seems he's been a big fan of Mangala for a number of years now apparently so i'm sure he's aware as to what weaknesses would need to be worked on.

I remember checking some stats on him when he was getting slated at the time - this is our record in the relegation season with and without Dummett in the team: 30 points from 23 games Dummett started, 1.30ppg 7 points from 15 he missed, 0.47ppg Obviously the relative quality of his replacements was a factor, but it's by no means a stretch to say had he stayed fit we would've got the extra couple of points needed. He played at centre back a lot that season. Again, it's mainly at left back in the Premier League that he's been s****. He definitely didn't mind. I'd go as far as to say he's probably played less than 5 games as a CB for us.

Underwhelming to say the least. Underwhelming? We've been relegated twice in eight years! It could be a long summer if the likes of Gray are getting the underwhelming patter! Just chill and let Rafa bring in who he thinks will do a job! The Ciaran Clark transfer should have really settled people down! You do realise he's had one season in the top flight and scored 9 goals? The same amount that Mitro scored and is torn apart by most on here. I'm not saying he would be a dreadful signing, or even bad, I'm simply saying that I don't really see him as much of an improvement on Gayle, if at all.

Underwhelming to say the least. Not sure i would call it underwhelming - both Gray and King have had their best seasons and are young enough to improve. They both also seem to have a lot of the attributes that Rafa requires from his forward players. I understand why it is more appealing to go for a potentially exciting player from another league, but i think in our position I would be looking to go for players who have experience of the league. I agree to a extent and I may be in a minority but from what I've seen of Gray, I don't really seen an improvement on what we've already got with Gayle, unless we're taking staying fit into account. It also concerns me that we're targetting Gray to come in as a potential replacement for Gayle, rather than looking at more of a bigger type striker to fill the role that Mitro/Murphy occupy.

I may be wrong but isn't Monk out of contract? I seen Leeds fans on Twitter crying on about him not getting a new deal and that he was only on a 1 year deal with the option to extend it. EDIT: Just confirmed on TalkSport that Monk is out of contract and so far hasn't been offered a new one.

Being reported in the Times today that Watford are looking to go for Silva as they realise he will be in demand following Hull's relegation. If we didn't already have Rafa, he's exactly the sort of manager I'd want us to be going for. I think he can do better than Watford. Southampton would be a perfect choice for him if Puel is binned off.

When we got relegated at Villa and they stayed up. Tannoy guy at their place announced we were down and that picture shows the celebrations.

Still can't get my head around some of our fans saying that we shouldn't be celebrating their misfortunes too much. I understand that it may backfire if Rafa ups and leaves us but after all of the stick that those lot have give us over the last 10 years, i'll be making the most of this for a while.
