Is this debt owed to Mike Ashley even legal? He owns the club lock stock. If i own a small business and run it badly and have to put my life savings into it to keep it going, that's a choice I make to keep the wolf from the door. The value of my company is reflective of how well it's been run.

that would be amazing.. imagine them flocking to Facebook to moan about it and then realising the irony.

Clue to new ownership might be in the company logo for the lawyer looking after our sale.

It all sounds so scammy Can't afford the 400m all up front? Let's just go with a 5 year contract with low low monthly payments of 8m then! You deserve a football club and now your dreams can come true. And all you need to do is pay me £600m over the next ten years, wear Sports Direct on your shirts, shorts, boots and shinners. Better still, I'll go back to being Mr Invisible and you can take all of the s*** for your terrible decision to get into bed with me. This man is a crook - just look at his dealings with Rangers and the issues they had in untangling the mess made by his grubby fat paws. Textbook Wonga.

No I believe the interest is serious now but this Chinese lot will have been tyre kickers up to now. Perhaps he’s making it easier for them but the real intent is to sniff out a move by Staveley and her investors. It’s anyones guess really. I want to get excited but this is Mike Ashley.. there’s no way he’ll leave without one last “fuck you” to all of us.
-
Staged payments? Anyone buying who needs that option can’t afford to take us on. Then in a year or so when Ashley calls in his loan, he can finally bankrupt us when whatever clown owns us can’t afford to pay him..

The kid has an eye for goal and has skills but in the few instances I’ve seen him this season, he’s repeatedly been muscled off the ball. Made poor choices in keeping the ball when a pass would have retained possession. I’m not having a go for the sake of it.. but 12m.. what else could Rafa have done with that?
-
Murphy has been gash for us so far. Feeble is a word I’d use. Which is surprising because the lower leagues are supposed to be tougher. He’ll never oust Richie or Atsu. Sentiment overruled sense with this one. This ones definitely on Rafa.

Indiscipline will cost us today.

What was he thinking? Had such a good game up to that point.

Easy decision. Bring Clarke on for Yedlin. Move Manquillo to RB and Clarke at left. Joselu looks tired as well.

Load of bollocks that

What was that touch from Perez?!?

It could be a smart move by Rafa. They’ll have been working all week on trying to contain Merino. LeJeune was our best player in pre season by a long way.. he has to get a chance. Clarke had a busy game against Wales too. This might freshen things up. And on the plus side.. Merino could always be brought on for Ayoze during the game.. play the no.10 role to perfection and give Rafa something to think about...

I’m not overly confident at all. We’re just such an unknown quantity.. all I know is the losses against Huddersfield and Brighton could easily have been avoided. And before Shelvey decided to stamp, we were holding our own against Spurs. We’re better than we’ve shown so far.
-
We can beat this lot. They’re not as good as previous seasons. Be very interested in the team selection tomorrow. With some of the players only training a day or two Rafa might start with the players he could work with.

Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC

This one could have legs.. mirror running a story that 500m worth of transfers are under investigation -
This. Shearer was respected but probably never went after his own players. Dyer/Bowyer happened on his watch.. Two best captains in the PL over last few decades have been Keane and Vieira, different styles off the pitch but both true leaders on it. Lascelles seems to be more of the Keane type in taking on people. How many titles did Man Utd win off the back of those players being terrified of messing up?

So this is what we know about her so far.. she's into sport. Horses, football etc.. Been generally successful with her business, used her exposure while running a restaurant near Ascot to full effect. Made friends with some incredibly wealthy people from the Middle East. Business goes from strength to strength. Is suing Barclays for about a billion over a deal gone bad. Still has backing. Is also at high risk to develop Huntingdons Disease within the next 10/15 years. If this is for her, perhaps she's living out a dream and her backers are fully supportive? Or this is just another deal for her investors.. who knows.. If it's the former.. i mean if she's coming in as Owner, given her potential illness, she's probably want to make a big splash at it and leave her mark

The thought of her meeting those three must have been similar to Extras when Stephen Merchant, Barry and Robbie from EastEnders were working in the carphone warehouse.

Again wouldn’t read into Douglas’ tweet. She’s done plenty of interviews.. she’s no Mike Ashley when it comes to being elusive. She could literally be playing the media and in turn Liverpool or Spurs by making everyone think someone is in for us and therefore spurring them into some sort of decision. When something seems too good to be true... bear that in mind.

Her name has actually come up in connection with NUFC before. Louise Taylor wrote a piece about Ashley when he first tried to sell the club. Basically it was a guide of how not to approach wealthy Arab businessmen. She mentioned that Mrs Staveley was the one to go to.. and indeed Mike had approached her but she was too busy with other things at the time. So I think that puts the idea that Rafa set this up to bed. It’s more likely that Mike is employing her to seek out an investor, so if anything is happening it’s at a very early stage.. and probably not worth talking about at this point.

Pure tack that banner.
