  1. I really hope it is or this place will be on suicide watch by the looks of it. Just think back to Carvers stint in charge.. it’s still fresh in my mind. We’re literally a few months from something similar happening if this takeover doesn’t happen and Rafa isn’t backed in January. Maybe he’ll wait until end of season.. but no more than that under the current regime if it insists on not supporting him. Why would he waste his best years here? So it might seem pessimistic but I don’t fucking care. My hope is that Mike decides to make the club a tastier proposition by signing players and making sure we finish higher up the table. The worst case scenario doesn’t bare thinking about.

What’s different about what he does than any of those NFL players taking a knee during the anthem? He’s not going around saying “fuck the queen”, he has idealisations based on his upbringing. Whether right or wrong he’s entitled to his opinion. He knows his apples when it comes to the Adam Johnson apologists at least..
  3. So no one knows what's going on, including you, but you know that the press especially know nothing. Their job is to direct as much traffic to their site as possible. Not to bring us credible information. So to answer your question/statement, yes.
  4. Being hopeful and positive doesn’t have to include believing everything you read in the local press. Hopeful for me at the moment is that Mike will let Rafa spend some money on a proper goal scorer and left back in January.
  5. I’m not saying it’s all bullshit. The fact is I know about as much as the next person which is fuck all. Terms like due diligence and NDA’s would make sense if something was happening. What I’m saying is that nobody knows what’s going on.. especially local press. There’s an assumption that we’re gonna be on instant street come January. But there’s very little to suggest we will be. It’s far better to assume the worst and then be pleasantly surprised than the other way round.
  6. No sorry this is not the case either as it would have been blow wide open by now. Thre is definitely something official happening whether that ends in an overall takeover is the big question mark though. Why would it be blown wide open? Who exactly is providing any real info. All we have as fact is that Mike has put the club up for sale and that a woman who manages other people’s money turned up at our game (although it’s been widely reported that she supports Liverpool) I would dearly love to be wrong but all I can see is local journos who are writing stories based off things people are tweeting. There’s absolutely nothing to go on this other than hoping it’s true. Well except for the fact he put out a statement saying the club was for sale, and the fact that multiple sources have said that PCP have signed an NDA. What is it you would like for proof? Except? I literally just said that was the only fact we have. And multiple sources? Who? Anyone credible?? Like I said.. journos stretching out rumours on twitter for click bait articles is not a source or proof. The only link the club has to PCP is Staveley attending the game, possibly just to watch the club she supports. But 2+2=350,000,000 in this case. It doesn’t add up. I want it to be true just as much as anyone but we’re being taken for mugs by the local press as its highly doubtful they know anything of any worth. No more than that Wraith chap.. it was pure chance he was sat beside Staveley and her husband. He then played everyone on twitter to think he was an ITK to get clicks for some dogshit energy drink. All we have is rumours to go on, just like when we had bids in for William Carvalho or whoever else over the summer. 95% of what the media wrote was bullshit. So what makes them so knowledgable now?

  8. Being owned by someone who can have all their assets stripped from them as quickly as that doesn’t seem to appealing to be perfectly honest. I’m beginning to think that this whole thing has been a click bait project from the beginning. Staveley probably just wanted to watch Liverpool play and that fixture was the only one she had time to go to. Everything else that’s been written since has been utter nonsense. And we’ve been only too happy to believe it. Even Mike fell for it so we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves.
  9. Aye just fail to mention that it was Ayoze who turned his back on their goal scorer to give him a free header. Murphy has been poor but he can only get better. He needs to start a game and be involved, 5 minute cameos are no good
  10. Total agreement. The world and it’s dog can see that certain personnel would have made a difference today and others who have been used are just absolute garbage. It worked for Benitez for a few weeks but he has to stop being so stubborn now, it’s costing us. That’s two goals Ayoze has been at fault at in a row. He didn’t even jump for that header today.. turned his back. And a weak challenge in the middle cost us on Monday. How many chances does someone get? Joselu tries but he just doesn’t have the quality. Manquillo is just poor but he was never going to be a regular this season had Dummett not gone to the knackers yard. It’s not like other seasons.. the effort is there. We pass it around really well in spells. No consistency though. We miss Merinos simple calm passing. Mitrovic can easily do what Joselu has been doing, except is far more likely to take a chance. He has to start next game. I’d love Murphy to do well but he looks and plays like a broken man. Maybe being away from his brother is an issue.. Frustrating day. Writing was on the wall after 25 mins...
  11. Just have to stay calm and not get frustrated. Best we’ve played in a long time. Wingers are bossing it. Be a great game for Murphy to get a decent few minutes.
  12. 4-5-1 without the ball. 4-4-2 with. The system won’t have changed much. He trusts his back line now so this is probably the perfect game to bring more positivity in.. Hate making predictions but I think we’ll be ok today.. like West Ham, 3-0
  13. Elliott Yedlin Lascelles LeJeune Mbemba Hayden Shelvey Ritchie Diame Atsu Gayle
  14. Andros Townsend was mentioned once more?! What utter shite. As if some journo is hiding in the corner of the boardroom taking notes.
  15. I think there will be changes. Bournemouth pass it about so this could be the time for Murphy to get involved. Gayle might also start.

Pardew would keep them up, but only just.. and then when he actual ideas get across to the squad the following year they’d be in the same mess again, or mid to low table obscurity. All the while, the clubs financial situation getting worse and worse. How many years can the club afford to have aspirations of being a PL side once again?

In a death spiral that club. It’s quite hard to feel sorry for them though. The “Adam Johnson shags who he wants” chant took care of the sympathy card.
  18. Even if they had a deal agreed, it would make no sense to announce it now. We have to get to January with the squad we have. There will be more nights like tonight. Amanda Staveley won’t want that.. whoever she’s acting on behalf for will want a similar deal to how City was announced. It’ll be during or just before the window opens.. plenty of good will and a fresh start. Why would PCP want to take the flack for Mike Ashley’s lack of investment?
  19. It was Ayozes fault for the goal. Lost cheap possession by being feeble in the challenge. Other than that, both teams were basically the same. Can’t really complain.. we didn’t play badly. It was just a game where it was really obvious how shit some of our players are, especially up front. Rafa got his team selection wrong, not for the first time this season either.
  20. Rafa lied to us about the squad news Where’s Merino??!
  21. Judging by his interview about Serie A, I think missing out on Reina was the one that really had him pissed off at Ashley. If this takeover happens, he’d be a good bet for first in the door. Even if it doesn’t happen I still think we’ll be in for him
  22. Nope if we had oil money, we would be and would always have been a “massive club” just like Chelsea or City. For what it’s worth, City are a bigger club than Chelsea, who should be about as big as Everton. Probably comparable with us in size, City I mean. Arsenal and Spurs are a bit ahead, I hate admitting that about Spurs but it’s a reality. Liverpool are a distant second to Manchester Utd, who are probably bigger in size to Barca and Real. With solid investment we could be a top 4 team. Arsenal will have a spell in the wilderness after Wenger finally goes. And Spurs won’t be able to keep hold of Pinocchio who is an excellent manager. Chelsea always seem to be on the brink of firing someone and they seem to be running out of options in terms of top class managers now too. That gives someone the opportunity to take advantage.. why not us if we’re finally being backed?
  23. Media being mischief makers shock. There's definitely an anti Klopp agenda beginning. I don't think it'll be for a while yet though, many teams with Champions League commitments suffer in their league form. There's always been an anti Newcastle agenda, especially with the London papers.. so this doesn't surprise me at all, undermines Klopp and also NUFC in one swoop of the pen. The dippers are a sorry bunch though, if Rafa did return, in 2 years they'd be moaning about the lack of free flowing football. Stick the cunts with Joe Kinnear or Alan Pardew for a season and then they'll really have something to bitch about.
