  1. Interested to see what Odin thinks of this I think another month will go by before we have any real update on the situation. Also even if it does go through in late December / early January, it shouldn’t effect the transfer window. Remember when City were taken over.. they wrote some sort of promissory note so that they could sign Robinho. Even if the takeover isn’t completed, if a buyer is serious they should be able to do this so that we can invest to stay up.
  2. It's funnier if you read it in the voice of a spoof 80's american detective's narrating their way into the plot. I’m no Tom Selleck.
  3. PCP haven't denied anything this whole way through. They aren't Ashley/Bishop pawns. Why would they break their NDA? They haven’t said a damn thing about anything. If anyone was going to break the silence it’s going to be Ashley. So what does he get out of leaking that there’s a 300m bid in and then leaking more shite about rejecting it? Has there actually been a bid at all?? If PCP are indeed serious about buying us, it will only be the first club statement where they make any sort of public comment.
  4. So nda’s were signed and there was basically radio silence for about 2 months.. then tonight for some reason both sides just all of a sudden took to twitter to air their beef? Nope. Am havin none of this. It doesn’t add up to the behaviour of respectable business people. (Which I am referring to PCP and their investors.. not Mike Ashley) More I think of it the more this has all the hoof prints of Ashley’s goons from start to finish. But why? Why now? There’s a story in there somewhere, I’m sure if that much.
  5. Haggling over the price of a club when you’re potentially going to go out and blow double that on probably a few expensive flops just doesn’t make much sense to me either. Chelsea did it, City did it. In fact.. each club have probably wasted far more than 600m each on shite players since they struck oil. Why be so careful about what was spent on purchasing the club?
  6. We live in a time where it’s more important to be first with news than be accurate. There are infinite permutations here. That the info has leaked probably indicates that PCP or their investors are playing hard ball. Say Ashley wants 400m, but would probably take 350.. by Staveley bidding 300, he now runs the risk of a fucking riot if he doesn’t accept.. so instead of putting up with a revolt for the sake of more profit, he might just take around 315 now. And her commission on this might depend on any amount saved. I’d prefer to take a step back and wait for more solid news.. as fucking hard as that is tonight
  7. The foundations are in I think.. it’s a totally different situation to maybe a 5/6 years ago when we had flair and players with an eye for goal but basically no organisation at the back. With a bit of investment in the right places we could have a sudden upturn like what Leeds did when O’Leary added flair to George Graham’s well drilled back line. My fear is that we’re waiting for a miracle that will never happen and January will come and go with nothing happening.
  8. Why would they choose this game to have a go at lack of money spent? Unless we’re taken over by ultra wealthy Arabs, we're never going to spend 89 million on a single player. I reserve that criticism for when we’re beaten by teams around us who outspent us on solid forward players. Rafa has a solid system in place.. but needs to swap out parts for better ones.. all over the team to be honest.
  9. I’m disappointed how sloppy we got more so than the result. I’d rather be angry losing by a goal knowing we could have been in it. Once they scored we were never in it. 5 points off the bottom 3 now.. we need to get a win soon, takeover or no takeover
  10. Pogba has grown into the game.. he looked shaky to begin with though. A tough tackle will give him something to think about. If we can keep him and Lukaku quiet we'll get chances
  11. Looked a bit better. Still weak in the challenge. I said it ages ago, the of needs to put muscle on.
  12. We’ve actually been good so far. Well worth our lead. Game is set up for us now on the counter. They have to take risks..
  13. Well let’s see how the kid does. All he’s had so far has been coming on when we’re behind. At least we can justifiably give him dogs abuse when we get smashed
  14. I’d really love this not to be bollocks but a rumour some shitehawk on twitter spreads which makes its way to the daily star is not how the Mike Ashley era will end.
  15. The current Ireland team is a million miles away from what they had in the late 90's to mid 00's. Turgid to watch, Denmark are not much better.

  17. Pointless badly designed website. It’s menu simply has a home button (even though you’re already there.. I wonder if he did it on Wix himself or if someone conned him out of all his savings for one
  18. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was no one else and Mike was trying to hike up the price all along. I'm of this opinion. Mainly to p*ss Odin off though. Nope I’m in top form today. Still think everything that’s been written so far is 100% guesswork.
  19. It’s hardly on the sky news yellow ticker. All the worldwide websites have done is rewrite what’s been written by the media here. Which as far as I can tell are just taking rumours from twitter and turning it into a story. It COULD very well be true but the fact is none of us cattle class are going to know what’s going on in these meetings if there are any. Like “Amanda Staveley is only willing to pay 300m” it’s just utter twoddle. Who the fuck would know that apart from her and her closest advisors.. they are certainly not calling local journos to tell them their plans. Anyone claiming to be an ITK or to have a source is talking through their arse.
  20. Shall we get the Pulitzer ready for Lee Ryder then? All you have to do is log onto The Chronicle site and see what’s important to them. Click bait titles so daft cunts like you will help them reach their ad revenue targets. Coming out with stories about NDA’s and Due Dilligence is a double positive for them.. whether it’s right or wrong nobody speaks. So they can basically write what they want without having to do ANY factual reporting.
  21. So no one knows what's going on, including you, but you know that the press especially know nothing. Their job is to direct as much traffic to their site as possible. Not to bring us credible information. So to answer your question/statement, yes. That isn't how proper journalism works. Proper journalists?! Who would that be?
