  1. That's what they get for acting like a pack of cunts and not giving the ball back. Fuck me.
  2. I would agree with this, although, is Shelvey worth his place? He's been so poor apart from his debut.

I can think of a few. Shteve has to be up there now along with Paul Ince, Lawrie Sanchez and Tony Adams (management obviously)
  4. Hopefully someone kept the receipt for him and he can be returned. Not unhappy with that line up, I trust Rafa..he'll know why he's picked that team..
  5. It's so weird knowing we have a manager now who can actually make a difference during a game, let's hope those skills are not needed too much today. Essentially the last god knows how many seasons, our wins may well have been down to having slightly better players in some positions than the opposition, or those particular players trying to get noticed for the tv cameras. Not through the managers motivation skills or tactical astuteness. Benitez has now had some proper time to spend with this rabble.. today should really be the first game where his ethos starts to take shape.
  6. Feeling positive about this game. The players are easily good enough to win this match, they just lost all direction under a succession of gobshites coaching them. Getting the late goal and not losing last week will hopefully have given them the lift needed. If Tiote plays that's a huge bonus. Perez, Wijnaldum and Townsend could essentially keep swapping places all match across the midfield. Shelvey also needs to have a good game, maybe Tiote can buy him enough time on the ball to do some damage. Time for a few of these fuckers to stand up and be counted.
  7. Even though it was a freak result earlier in season, perhaps the players they have and the way they play suits us more so than other teams we play. Like certain F1 teams performing better at some circuits. Yes i'm clutching at straws. The only thing going for us really is that their defense is as bad as ours so we should get some chances.
  8. Why sack him now? I suspect he's a far better manager than Pearson (if that's who will come in), it would make far more sense to let him rebuild the club in the summer. I think he's the type that would honour a contract. Vile club.
  9. Actually, i'm just gonna jump in with the unruly mob. If we get relegated, it's 100% Rob Elliot's fault. The fat bastard, and I hope he and all his family & friends die in a pancake related incident.
  10. He did his knee in when he checked to the side to stop the shot. Looks like a bad one, perhaps a cruciate. I rate Darlow so it's not end of world but very unlucky for Elliot who's been pretty much the only player this season for us who can hold his head up high.
  11. For Norwich, i'd try this given the amount of injuries. Elliott Mbemba---Lascelles---Sissoko Janmaat--Shelvey Wijnaldum------------------------Townsend De Jong Mitrovic--------Perez Tiote getting fit again will be a huge part of our staying up if it happens, for all his faults. We play better when he's in the team. If only just for his physical presence, think Norwich will come a little too soon for him but maybe next game.
  12. Where's the abuse? He's not ready to lead the line for a relegation-candidate club. The absolute opposite of what we need. We need experience and a proven track record, and Defoe was that player. And we won't get that player now will we? so get behind the lads that we do have especially this one who actually gives a f*** to the fans and the club. Well said. He's one of the few in the whole squad who would literally put his body on the line for the club. The goal last week will give him confidence, he'll score more before this season is over.
  13. Well let's put it like this, regardless of what happens this season, when Benitez leaves, the club will be in better shape. He's probably done more positive things behind the scenes in 2 weeks than McClaren, Pardew etc did over the last decade. I've literally gone from not giving a fuck if we got relegated to absolutely bricking it now.
  14. There's really no reason why he would have done that interview, all i'm reading into it is that he's finally accepted that he'll never make a success of it here, Rafa is essentially last throw of the dice. Essentially he's putting it out there that he'll listen to offers for the club, regardless of whether we stay up or not. Letting the club fail would cost him a hell of a lot more than than funding us back up (if relegated) so he'll have to make the money available. If we do stay up, the club would be a far more attractive proposition if Rafa was putting a decent squad together. I think this is positive.. end game is in sight finally.
  15. huge point. Sunderland were the better team all over the park, but we stuck at it.. we'd have been beaten by a few goals of McFuck was still in charge. If they had won we were down, simple as.
  16. If Janmaat plays one more shitty cross into the box... someone should tot it up, like the amount of time wasted in each match down to his poor distribution. Colback is possibly the worst player to ever pull on the shirt. Please, just please sub him.. he's a sending off waiting to happen. Townsend looks ok, as does Wijnaldum when he's on the ball. Shelvey has looked so so. I'd bring Saivet on for Perez. Cisse for Mitrovic, he's not at the races either.
  17. Would be worried about that central partnership, for what it's worth I think Wijnaldum is better used a bit deeper as he tends to make late runs forward anyway but he doesn't tackle and neither does Shelvey really. I'd be far happier with Tiote playing. It looks balanced though
  18. Haven't been this tense about any of our matches in years. It's good to feel something for this club once again.

  20. It was the easiest fixture on the calendar for the best part of thirty years before Pards got involved. This. I think if we beat them and they go down, it could be a couple of seasons before they come back up.. and to be honest the same could be said for us. Relegation could see the end of Mike Ashleys involvement with us, which to be honest we all want to see, BUT, now we have the right manager and at least we know the owner has the means to back him if we stay up.. it's quite the conundrum. The anarchist in me wants to see what would happen if we go down.. but the realist thinks, if we stay up and Rafa can build a decent side here, with the raised profile of the club, someone coming in to buy the club off Ashley is more likely. So essentially, the objective we all want could be reached either way.
  21. Serious amount of pressure on both teams tomorrow.. West Brom layin down to Norwich has seen to that.
  22. Albert Luque looked great on YouTube man and sorry but I'm just not having it that defenders consider him as one of the top 10 most feared strikers when he's scoring at a rate of a goal every 6 games. But we have Odin's guarantee. That's the clincher for me. And you should count yourself lucky
