If Norwich aren't up for this they deserve to go down but Man Utd have been playing better stuff recently, they were good against Leicester. The mackems v Chelsea will be a tight game.. i'm thinking a draw. I'm not liking the noises coming from the Chelsea camp. Denying Spurs was all they really had left to play for

I'm not comfortable singling out any of our players for criticism.. for the simple reason that i don't think we've seen any of them at even 50% of their potential. Ayoze has bags of skill but there's just a sort of intensity missing.. the top top players know what to when they have the ball, or not.. that will cause problems for teams.. Sanchez, Mahrez etc.. as soon as they are involved they mean business.. which is something lacking from Ayoze's game, well most of our players. For whatever reason (and there are many), our squad have been pretty much unmotivated for so long that it's crept into every aspect of their profession.. fitness, confidence, determination and even the basics of teamwork. Rafa must have had an aneurism when he realised the task he faced. But a few have shown signs of the motivation returning.. Tiote, Anita etc.. all playing vital roles in giving us a glimmer of hope. I think it's yet to seep into the likes of Perez and Wijnaldum.. it may not happen before the season is over. English football is riddled with sub standard coaching/managers.. i'm coming round to the view that the predicament we are in is not really the players fault. Nearly all of our under performing players showed glimpses at the start of why we signed them, but then when integrated into the culture of unmotivation, the lights were essentially dimmed straight away. It's been so long since this club had a decent manager the infrastructure of failure is deep rooted by now. If Rafa gets a fair crack at the whip we all know he has the tools to reverse the trend. But for now, i think it's stupid to write off players when we've never seen the best of them. We could have brought Messi in and made him look like Obertan.. that's how bad the coaching setup was. The players who've seen enough and want out, fair enough and best of luck. But i think there could be some big surprises from existing squad players next season if we stay up.

Terrible signing, he has bags of abaility in terms of passing but when we don't have the ball (which is the majority of most games) he just prances around like a tit, is about as mobile as a special olympic sprinter and has little or no physical presence despite the fact that he looks like a white version of Magic Johnson. The fact he's on a hefty long term contract will make it very difficult to offload him.. who would even pay half of what we did? Tiote has done well since he came back into the fold, i'd keep him on unless we can sign a top defensive midfielder.

They might be a bit bitter about that which could backfire on us

I'd agree with that.. all the tv money and huge wages being paid has actually had the opposite effect.. it's created a generation of pro footballers who don't give a shit about the clubs they play for and because of the obscene amount they are paid, they have no hunger to push themselves to achieve more. What Leicester have done is the complete fuck you to that whole culture.. and 2 very very very shrewd signings in Mahrez and more so Kante.. that guy is as good as having a Vieira or Makelele in their prime, let's hope this success doesn't go to his head.

Huge congrats to Leicester.. it really is unbelievable what they've done. As for Spurs.. their conduct in the last 10 minutes plus the stoppage time and after the match is why it would have been a travesty if they'd won. I'm furious how the ref missed that tackle by Dier at the end there.. it was a yellow card minimum.. will they have anyone banned for their remaining games?
-
Their game plan.. get the ball back, hoof it into the flanks or hoof it into the box. It's effective I guess. Their reading of the game in midfield is way better than ours. Game is screaming out for Mitrovic to rough them up, i'd bring him on for Wijnaldum who has done fuck all again.

This is it. Now or never. As an aside, I didn't think so at the time but Townsend has turned out to be a decent signing. If we stay up, his return to form will have been a huge factor. Howay.

He's given us a lot of things to hate has Pardew, lying during the Jonas case just reinforced my memories of how dodgy a fucker he really is. Suffering through Carver, McLaren and possibly a relegation will be worth it to have a man the calibre of Rafa Benitez stamp his blueprint on the club.

I have us beating Palace but only drawing against Villa and Spurs. But.. Arsenal should beat Norwich at home. Stoke v Mackems will probably be a draw, Man Utd will beat Norwich, Chelsea will win @stadium of shite, Norwich might get a draw from the Watford game, Everton could get a point away to mackems and then beat Norwich on last day, Watford at home won't lose.. so a point I reckon. Here's how I see it on last day.. 17 Newcastle35 18 Sunderland34 19 Norwich 32 Us staying up firmly depends on whether Everton are in any way arsed to finish the season well.

They look up for this. Cmon Arsenal.. a goal will crush their spirit
-
Coutinho always scores against us

Mitrovic rarely does anything when he starts either tbf Agree with this, he's simply not fast enough to break the line. However, when their backline gets a bit tired he's perfect to bring on and rough them up, he can then make space for other more mobile players. The whole team have been shite today with the exception of maybe Anita.

How can the rest of the team do anything when Cisse just gives the ball away EVERY TIME
-
And goodnight Irene. The only salvo is that this wasn't one of the games where points were a realistic target. The pressure should really be off.. maybe they'll start playing a bit now
-
They're first to everything, strong in the tackle, slick passing. Our lot have to man up.
-
1 minute.. 1 fucking minute
-
Hopefully Lascelles clatters him in the first few minutes and he thinks twice about causing any fuss for the rest of the 90. Keeping Lallana quiet is probably more important as Milner is on the decline.
-
That should have been 3 points, but like was said before we expected nothing from this result so a point is a bonus. I figured we could have gotten 9 points including Swansea, with that we could realistically have 10 now. We've a good chance now.
-
This lad is born to lead.. He's already a very decent player, just inexperienced at this level.. but that will come in time. He'll be a force in his late 20's. The likes of him and Mitro despite their age could literally scare the rest of them into raising their game

It's a Zionist conspiracy
-
Vardy you thick cunt.

Brave call by the ref. On the replay it clearly looks like he leaves his leg into the defender and goes down straight away. Total stupidity considering the stakes. Imagine if his absence is what loses them the league? West Ham have bossed the game so far, could easily get a result here. Can second yellows be challenged? I know a straight red being overturned is quite common.
