  1. Pedro refusing to sign a contract extension for the rest of the season and will join Roma on a free
  2. I'm sure there'll be a lot of social distancing in Naples tonight
  3. seems to be enough for people with the SA bid Not really, Caulkin had a huge feature in the Athletic a few months back detailing their blueprint for the club, as well as an interview with Staveley herself when he worked at The Times
  4. "It took weeks for me to find out it was genuine, but at the same time, nobody knows anything about him yet" Is this bloke a complete idiot? Actually, no that would be giving him too much praise. His ultra-cynical stance has instantly dissipated when he's able to push a story whereby he can claim to be in the knowledge of some of the details. For the Saudi bid, he's openly admitted that he's got no real information about it. This bitterness of being left in the dark is made manifest in his woeful coverage, littered with contradictory rhetoric and sensationalist bile.
  5. This bid is plainly ridiculous and encapsulates just how awful the journalism is surrounding this club
  6. Thus the WTO concludes that the government of Saudi Arabia promoted illegal beoutQ broadcasts. It's over. Does it say anything about RedBird Capital in that report Penn?
  7. Edwards is such an idiot, he's been utterly woeful in his summations all season
  8. I just find the idea of the Premier League not having a deadline to work towards, in regards to such a high-profile business transaction, completely absurd It leaves a club effectively owner-less (13 years and counting really), destabilizes all future planning - contract negotiations, transfer targets etc.
  9. Realistically, how long do you think the Premier League can prolong this test for? End of July?
  10. Really thought things would be different this time, here comes the second bidder as if by magic
  11. If you frame a comment like that, it's pretty obvious how people are going to interpret it
  12. Very strange concluding remarks in that Athletic piece that the "Saudis won't sail through the director's test process" Considering we're in week 9 of what they say is supposed be a 3 week process, that much is obvious Also I'm presuming Caulkin has been very badly advised from his sources because his previous insistence about 'no red flags' just looks fanciful in light of this
  13. Greg[/member] is a legend so I'm not having a go..... but I really wonder what has gone wrong (if anything) since this day of supreme confidence Would like to hear more about this as well
  14. The media coverage has become ever more desperate these last couple days
  15. so what benefit does it have to Mike Ashley that there is a second bidder? Ashley has never wanted to sell before, and every single time there is interest people go “a fake over! Imagine beleiving this”. What do you reckon then Bishop has winter in his pocket? Who made up the story? Then why are there no actual details behind these links whatsoever as per usual? The reason why people react in that way is because we have dozens of takeover stories every year, it would be foolhardy to not greet another vague link with skepticism Yeah because the media would never make up a completely unsubstantiated story about NUFC They just put out one the other week regarding the American Henry Mauriss and his apparent interest It's just incredulous that you would seriously take it at face-value
  16. There's a path through this that is anti Ashley and anti Saudi that gets us through the other side with some integrity. The soul of the club is as important as the success of the club. If you don't believe that then what are we doing? What path is that then? Fight Ashley, protest against Saudi involvement in the club. Protect the soul of NUFC. You all keep saying we are special but have rolled over and stuck your legs in the air for the first billionaire that's got a chance of prising us from Ashley's grip. We are special we should be fighting to remain so. If we don't then what's the point? Yes lets have a mock funeral and not eat the pies at half time and oh .... There is no soul left to preserve 13 years of Ashley proved that . Then what's the point? What's your answer then? Fan ownership?
  17. I agree, they should try and sell Zouma to Everton if they're still interested too, don't think he's good enough
  18. There's a path through this that is anti Ashley and anti Saudi that gets us through the other side with some integrity. The soul of the club is as important as the success of the club. If you don't believe that then what are we doing? What path is that then?
  19. Chelsea in talks for Chilwell, Tagliafico from Ajax the backup option if they can't agree a fee
  20. Aye, "long-term interest" in the club apparently, had 13 years to buy it, now they're ready to come in just as another consortium is due to complete the takeover, along with no details whatsoever about the groups / main figures involved. How utterly convenient. Imagine actually believing this
  21. There are no other bidders, total rubbish. Heard it so many times before.
