Technically such a good player, the way he shifts the ball and attacks tight pockets of space is brilliant. He was our main outlet tonight, constantly occupying their defenders with good movement.

Just wasn’t our night tonight. Key players not at the level we’ve seen before. Our deliveries into the box were predictable and easy for their CBs to defend. Injuries undoubtedly unsettled our rhythm but we just didn’t have the answers tonight. Gordon was brilliant though, he’s so exciting and positive on the ball. He was always trying to make things happen.
