  1. The Brighton game was chosen by BT before we got the final so that'll probably be on too. Interesting that we haven't been a MNF yet. Bet they're saving that for Arsenal (h) given they're crowning some royal nonce on the Saturday. Can see Leeds (a) and maybe Leicester (h) on too. Need to get used to this, 3pm Saturday games are going to be become a novelty for us shortly.
  2. A few permutations regarding when the home game v Spurs will be played. https://www.premierleague.com/news/3076942 "Sunday 23 April 14:00 Newcastle v Spurs* *This match will move to 22 April 17:30, live on Sky Sports, if Man Utd are involved in UEFA Europa League the Thursday before. This is also subject to Spurs' participation in FA Cup semi-finals"
  3. I don't think even he knows (or cares, which is probably the case ), he says 'ee-sak' here.
  4. Best I've ever heard it is 0:44 onwards here, after the 1974 FA Cup final. Hope to hear it like that but after a cup win this weekend.
  5. He's Watford's longest serving manager since they got back to the PL in 2015.
  6. He still had 4 years left before he signed that 6 year one in the summer.
  7. He signed a 6 year deal with Watford in the summer and we didn't want to pay what Watford wanted before he signed that.
  8. Yeah I think, but as soon as the PA said Atsu's name people just immediately started clapping.
  9. Interesting on the different people for each game. Probably due to the prices, I certainly couldn't afford sitting there regularly. Was 67 quid for my ticket for last night and I certainly can't afford that regularly as a student. Just the options for scran, used to only having hot dogs, Dickson's pies and naff burgers in my usual East Stand bit. The chicken bites, chips and curry sauce looked a hell of a far cry from that. Pints as well, only Carling and Caffrey's where I usually sit. Shite. No wonder I never spend owt in the ground.
  10. Aye there were a few singing, thought it'd be just a corporate lite so surpassed those expectations at least. Also didn't get owt but the scran and pint choices were lightyears clear of other places I've sat in the ground, especially the East Stand which is where I usually am. Block L is where my usual seat is which has a great view but also gets all the atmosphere from the Corner and isn't full of miserable old gits like much of the rest of the stand. Also hated that I could see and hear more of the away fans. Worst sound and sight in the world when you concede.
  11. My view from the Platinum Clerb. Nice view, wouldn't ever swap it for my usual seat/old ST seat. Atmosphere was marginally better than I was expecting there but nowt like where I usually am.
  12. We were always going to drop outside the top 4 given some teams play 3 times before we next play a team in the league that isn't Man City. Games in hand, and finally getting a fucking break with the international break coming up will be a godsend tbh ahead of a crucial run in, especially at home.
  13. They're shocking, like. Kane, Kulusevski et al just dig them out the shit over and over. Bentancur will be a miss for them but I'll actually be a bit disappointed if they finish above us.
  14. Probably still reeling in negativity from yesterday but not a chance we're beating these next week atm, like.
  15. Isak's at Anfield disallowed, but that's given as on.
  16. Was going to happen especially given the result yesterday tbf. Including today, Liverpool and Spurs play 3 times before we play a league game that isn't Man City (A).
  17. Was a finish like a striker who has scored 1 goal in 11 appearances.
  18. The Liverpool fans started clapping like, as did some of our lot who are almost incapable of doing a minute's silence. Knew it was gonna happen.
  19. Class today. 1v1 with yards to run into he's electric. Just need to give him minutes, same with Isak.
  20. It may well be a bit of an opportunity missed this season not splashing in January but that was never the plan. I'm not so confident in getting top 4 now given Liverpool will play 3 times before we play a game that isn't Man City (a). But we're in pole position to get some kind of European football which, after struggling against relegation for so much of last season, is a hell of a bonus when factoring in the bigger picture. Thinking "awh Bruno and Botman will fuck off then" is a bit overly pessimistic. Quasi masochistic.
  21. Went bold with the 4-3-2 with ten men, but with the pace of ASM and Isak obviously had opportunities even with 10. Not long ago when we would shame ourselves in a scenario like that. Definitely didn't this time and its testament to this man's tactical nous and respect amongst the players.
