    Jamal Lewis

Come on man, he's not been "hung out to dry" FFS Yes he has, has at times been given no protection by the man in front of him; I'm mainly remembering the defeat v Brighton in regards to this, complete tactical failure on part of the manager. Poor today and tbh in general, not denying that. But he's managed by Steve Bruce, which is like having your surgery done by Harold Shipman.

    Jamal Lewis

He's been poor, no doubt. Probably needs taking out the firing line for a few games. However he's been hung out to dry by this garbage system/way of playing that the kebab munching mong has us playing. He's young and needs coaching, there's potential there but Bruce is not the man to get it out of him. Benitez would've been perfect for him.
  3. Garbage for most of that but that goal, like Gillespie to Ferdinand.
  4. Should be 2 up, bright opening 15 but reverted back to seppuku inducing Bruceball. Ugh. Need to score 2 at least to win this I reckon.

    Sunderland

The ones I know weren't alive or didn't properly live through that, though. This is just flat out league one. I still find it hilarious that they'd rather sit on their hands, grumble and accept the shit served to them rather than do anything physical/visible in or outside the stadium of shite etc because "it's what the mags do". It's pathetic/hilarious, they've such an inferiority complex that it renders their club into quasi terminal dilapidation. As a football club, their pinnacle and overall dream is having 11 white no nonsense British blokes on the pitch who finish 17th in the PL season in, season out so long as they 'beat the mags'. Doesn't matter about silverware or ambition, just as long as they beat the lot up the road from them it doesn't matter. Even just wearing 'FTM' pins gets you idolised.
  6. It's funny but at the same time I wonder if he is quite the full shilling when I read some of his posts. I'd hate to think I was taking advantage of someone who maybe has some sort of mental disability however slight it might be. Wouldn't sit well with me at all. Has anyone actually met him in person? Is he ok, if you know what I mean? Good lord. He's a sound bloke, the 'Friday 3pm' and similar patter on here is pure lifting though.
  7. I miss them. Think that picture was after the Everton game, one of my favourite games I've been to.
  8. Those first 10 games in 18/19 where we failed to win and lost every home match in that run, go back on this forum to back then and you'll have a fair share of mongs just like there was at the games (mainly good old patriotdean). Perez got the brunt of it at home, why that was I haven't got a clue. He just was unlucky to look lazy in the eyes of the patriots. Never cringed at a football game as much as when Perez was jeered. I don't blame him for leaving, don't blame him for celebrating scoring against us and would take him back in a heartbeat. Why he'd come back though, I don't know.
  9. 100%. Tbh, even if we aren't getting taken over I still don't want us to go down. Even when I don't enjoy the football I still have a better day when we win. Aye, same.
  10. That Pereira for them is out so yet another stroke of luck for Bruce. Home win.
  11. Do think that's harsh. If a takeover materialises I'd like to see him given another chance under a competent manager, ie my 3 choices should we get bought out: Benitez, Allegri, Pochettino.
  12. All round just terrible games I've been to that I can recall; Pretty much all of our defeats at home to Leicester since they came up, every single performance in that fixture has been utterly vile. The mackem defeats at SJP. All of the home defeats in the Championship, we tended to beat ourselves by being so shit. The 0-6 defeat to Liverpool in the following home game after the first 0-3 to the mackems. 0-4 defeat to Spurs at SJP, it was midweek, fucking freezing and tipping it down. McClaren's last game, the 1-3 at home to Bournemouth. Didn't hurt by the following Friday as it meant Benitez was brought in. 5-1 defeat to Pardew's Palace. And that's all from just the top of my head.
  13. QPR away in 11/12, think it was on a Monday night? 0-0, grim game. A few games at Carrow Road after they came up in 11/12 besides the 4-2 were dreadful AFAIK.
  14. Was 15 years ago yesterday. Like the fixtures I've mentioned, our games with Brighton and Fulham are right showers of bastards.

    Jeff Hendrick

He's definitely the second coming of Colback. Hendrick, Bruce, Charnley, Richard Masters. The four horsemen of the apocalypse.
  16. In the win against Man City too, remember thinking through the first half, even after we went 0-1 down in 25 seconds, that their defence was struggling to handle/deal with him.
  17. Best since Remy or Ba? I think Ba was better but Remy when fit was great for us.
  18. That was the day after my 18th so my first proper night out in Newcastle. Game was fucking terrible, they were bottom, yet to take a point or keep a clean sheet away from home and we didn't have a shot on target. Remember them missing a few good chances to win it in stoppage time.
  19. Brighton 0-0 Newcastle. Happened in July. One of the Man Utd v Liverpool games in recent years that was built up as fuck by Sky and it ended up being utterly terrible.
  20. Okay/average performance but just need to get decent shots off. And I'm sick of Lewis, Manquillo and Longstaff having the ball in a decent position then putting their foot on top of it, turning and passing backwards.
  21. Tonight's possession stats The air: 74% The ground: 26%
  22. Ones from the top of my head that I lost my voice for a while. Gayle v Norwich 2016 Perez v Brighton 2017 Ritchie v Man Utd 2018 Bit daft but Perez v Watford 2018 Ritchie v Man City 2019 Almiron v Palace 2019
