  1. The last picture made me smile. Not many have done that in the last 2 years. Hopefully there's real togetherness now. There has to be.
  2. 4 more days, can't wait. Hopefully Howe will have worked on counter attacking from deep, these like to put all players aside from the keeper in the opposition's half for set pieces, mainly corners, for risk/reward. Need to be capitalising on the risk for them.
  3. 7 non league clubs in the 2nd round of the FA Cup, hope as many as possible get to the 3rd.
  4. I think a big part of the takeover going through was how well the QCs representing us did at the CAT hearing. The PL then thought 'shit, if this goes through to arbitration stuff is going to come out that we don't want to' so they said to PIF to just cancel all BeoutQ stuff, settle with beIN (which was possible as afaik KSA and Qatar have opened trade talks again) and we'll push it through, hence the short time between the CAT hearing, beIN settlement and the takeover happening. And Hoffman going is probably more of the PL not wanting their dirty laundry out in public a la CAT/arbitration. Just a theory, like.
  5. The current one by lightyears. Never change it. Anyone suggesting we should change it is more than likely on the register.
  6. Aye. Personally think the 1976-83 and 1983-88 crests are shite. Especially the former, with the little magpie in front of a castle, dreadful. Hope we never change ours, only change I'd accept is a more monotone colouring of it ie the 125 Years crest we had for 2017-18. Changing it would feel like changing for changing's sake. 'ooooh, Man City and these other fuckers did it so we should'. No. Fuck off. You're a nonce.
  7. Al-Rumayyan is the chairman of Aramco though, would that not come into play? If we're being sponsored by a Saudi company I'd like it to be Aramco, as I said before it'll be the nicest looking sponsor we could get imo.
  8. Aramco would've been the nicest looking sponsor but doubt we could have that due to its ties to PIF.
  9. Good read. https://www.premierleague.com/news/2348594
  10. Would take Van de Beek, would take Lingard too but if West Ham go back in for him he'll pick them over us. Not overly sure why we'd be getting linked with goalkeepers.
  11. That was a good watch, enjoyed that. The Bruce stuff is water off a duck's arse, couldn't give a flying fuck anymore. He's gone, waste of energy getting worked up.
  12. Away from us for a bit, stumbled across this. Seems a sound enough lad, shame Benitez wasn't able to give him a chance here. Talks about his time with us here. Hope he has an absolute stinker for this game though.
  13. Love him already. Seems just perfect for us as a club. Has a quasi Keegan-esque philosophy and outlook towards football with the work ethic and integrity of Benitez. Hasn't got the silverware just yet but he's 43, only 2 years older than Keegan when he took the job in 1992. He'll be great for us. Good start v Brentford and we'll be flying.
  14. Aye, Roger Tames? Think all of his commentary on season reviews were recorded well after the fact but still, utterly terrible. That Brentford game in the Championship, even though we conceded, was one of the most comfortable home wins I can remember. So easy. Brentford at the time managed by a certain Dean Smith.
  15. Part of the original Magpie Group wasn't he?
  16. Just make a song to Heaven Is A Place On Earth for Howe. Can't get that Chelsea Havertz one out of my head.
  17. Yeah. TBF Rafa made that Puma-Wonga dross look good.
  18. Followed for this take alone. Pls.
  19. 10 more days of this. Fucking class, get that work done. We're desperate for it. Genuinely cannot wait for the Brentford game, most I've looked forward to a game since the Benitez era.
  20. Potentially very unpopular opinion but I think our midfield is better when Shelvey is in it. Shelvey can actually pass the ball relatively well forwards. He's still a twat and fucking liability, plus it's probably more an indictment on how bad our midfield options are but aye. Much rather he started than Longstaff, but if we played a 4-2-3-1, 4-4-1-1 or any real midfield which requires 2 central midfielders my choices are Hayden and Willock. When Willock isn't available or fit, I'd go for baldy.
  21. That's like fucking porn. Holy shit.
