  1. Unless news comes out that a bid has been accepted and he's on his way for personal terms and a medical, it's all bollocks.
  2. Who is the last player we signed where news of bids rejected came out in the press before he was signed? Whilst a few NE football journalists are all saying we've had a bid rejected, most of our signings are usually low-key, so this reeks of Keith Bishop.
  3. Plus the fact that the guy we're apparently after is a bit low-key, I haven't really heard of him but since the link yesterday I've read up a bit. But I think you'd be surprised.
  4. Regarding the winger situation:
  5. How the fuck do you prepare a bid? Genuinely hate that phrase, preparing a bid. Don't you just, like, bid?
  6. Their movement not similar? Gayle's is fine, it's the finishing that lets him down. If Pléa has the movement plus the finishing I could see why Rafa would be an admirer. But with this coming through Ashley's mouthpiece in Sky, on season ticket renewal deadline day, I'm not getting any hopes up.
  7. 20 goals for Nice last season. Good movement, which I assume has caught Rafa's eye if this is true.
  8. Likewise. I'm not particularly hopeful. Bet the club Twitter account tweeted 20 minutes either before or after "Did you know that it's season ticket deadline today?"
  9. The collar on it is absolutely hideous.
  10. Any good? Never seen him play. I haven't really either but from what I've heard he's quick, makes great runs and got 20 for Nice last season.
  11. Bet it was around £9m. Why can't we just pay the asking price and get it done ffs. He'd be a signing that'd get many fans excited.
  12. Japan's little incisive passes into runners are lush.
  13. Haven't got a problem with it as long as an adequate replacement is brought in.
  14. ハハハはそれを吸うベルギー
  15. "Insufficient bid" rejected according to French reports. Le10Sport or something like that? What shock.
  16. I'm on the 10 year thing and haven't received anything like that.
  17. Kenedy is back at Chelsea if that means anything significant. Probably not.
  18. Don't think he's an international type manager tbf, think he loves the day to day stuff. Nah he would do well at international level after he's done with club football I reckon. His attention to detail and ability to respond to and exploit subtleties in the opposition would suit tournament style football well. Being tactically flexible is a big asset. It would be, but would he get enough time to work his methods long term on players. Lots of managers don't touch international football because of how little time they get to work with players. Exactly the reason Keegan left the England job. Can't see Rafa taking an international job either.
  19. They're trying, honest.
