  1. Urgh, what an awful team. I'll tell you what team he should've picked at 16:55.

    Nah, he's not. https://twitter.com/BadSantaaLAD/status/1077328551412727808

    Rafa Benítez

"I suspect Rafa is too afraid of getting the team to attack because on the one hand our attacking quality is so low that we're not likely to make use of more numbers getting forward, and on the other hand if we open up we leave ourselves exposed to counter attacks. Combine the two (shiite attack, open defense) and it's high risk to go gung ho be a bit more ambitious at home." Happy? Nobody can make excuses for having no shots on target at home against the worse defence in the league - 7 points out of 27 prove it's not working something has to change either the way we play or replacing personnel who are fixtures in the team despite offering virtually nothing. Was it high risk last year when we competed with Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea by taking a more ambitious approach in those games - were we gung ho then? We were able to risk it a bit more v Arsenal and Chelsea because the former had a Europa League QF in Moscow the Thursday prior and was prioritising that and so rested players, Chelsea had next to nothing to play for and were playing under a manager who everyone knew was gone. Man Utd, admittedly, we were more ambitious against, though I can only remember 3 chances; our goal, the free kick early on and the pen that we didn't get in the first half. You've got to look at individual results and performances last season objectively. I agree with not having a shot on target against a tragic Fulham side is poor, but the players are poor and we had results like this last season: Swansea 1-1, Brighton 0-0. The latter especially. Saturday was almost a carbon copy of it. Anyway, merry Christmas. Santa'll be here soon.

    Rafa Benítez

Rafa is the best man for Newcastle United, Ashley or no Ashley. In terms of what he's already done for the club, connection to the fans, city and club's culture as well as being able to build for the future under a new owner there's no one better who we could attract. The football will get better with more investment in the squad and a better quality of player being brought in; making the 'blanket' Rafa refers to a bit longer. There's no one else who I'd like either other than, say, Guardiola or Allegri. And they wouldn't come here even in the couple years after a hypothetical takeover and build.
  5. Still wants N'Soki according to that Sky transfer bollocks thing.

    Rafa Benítez

Reads/sounds like he's fed up and who can blame him.
  7. Correlation doesn't mean causation (we didn't win a home game between November and February last season and the atmospheres were okayish for the most part) but I agree with Sean tbh. This season's home atmospheres have, on the whole, been shocking and it's no wonder the team is far better away from SJP.
  8. I slate our home fans at the minute but that booing he got when he came on for Man Utd at St James' was absolutely savage The shot of the bloke behind him when he came on waving a fiver around at him was class.
  9. Aye it was, fucking awful isn't it. No idea why they've changed the tunnel though. Looks good, like.
  10. Last league win there was 1994. This'll probably be a defend well but lose 2-0 job.
  11. Shite performance, shite spectacle, shite atmosphere. Just shite. Problems with quality and creativity rearing that we knew since August 2017 are still rearing their head in games we have to be picking points up in. They should've nicked it with those chances in the last 10. Awful. At least we're not at Anfield next week.
  12. Probably. Let's face it, we've been here before. Can you say anything about the amount of the bid? No amounts were mentioned, but all the due dilligence/data room stuff has been done. A bid has been made, with certain issues raised, but people are waiting to act on it. Thanks mate. As you say though, we’ve been here before. The man-child will hoy his toys out the pram if he doesn’t get exactly what he wants. If they bid £300m for us I don’t think he’ll turn it away this time. Anything below that and we know what the answer will be already though. Yep, this.
  13. Waiting for him in terms of sanctioning it? Or is the bid below £300m? Or other scrupulous details of it like SD advertising? I know you're only posting what you know and you're not some sort of oracle, sorry if it appears like I'm bombarding you with questions.
  14. Owners are total fuckwits. Fergie must be wishing he snuffed it.
