No. No what? I just disagree. It's probably 99.9% Ashley in reply to Sho'Time. Last season's January window was awful. Rafa identified we needed bodies in to solidify promotion in another 23 or so games and actually sign some PL players in advance for this season. And that was blocked by Ashley. The signings from the most recent summer being poor because he was given what is almost f*** all in this market you can't really put down to him. This talk of bewildering subsitutions, I can't think of any off of the top of my head. Perez for Joselu in Bournemouth (h) maybe? That's it. Regarding lineups, whenever people have lambasted it (West Ham away, Stoke away) we've usually won (or at least come away with a good result). The squad we have is the worst squad in the league imo. The fact that we are where we are is down to our approaches tactically and how well drilled we are. That's down to the manager.
-
We should've also won at Southampton. Had numerous chances, hit the post, had a goal wrongly disallowed against Bournemouth. Had golden opportunities against Swansea, Burnley, Everton. Should've really gotten a point at Huddersfield. Say we actually had invested in a striker that Rafa wanted who took those chances. That's 13 points we've missed out on. Blaming Rafa is f***ing daft, man.
-
What would you have him do differently then?
-
It all stemmed from Chelsea's failure to get Lukaku in the summer. Conte desperately wanted him but lost out to Man Utd & Mourinho.
-
Chelsea collapsed in 2015/16, as champions, under Mourinho, and are now doing a sort of slightly less shit edition of that collapse under Conte. I wonder if anyone ponders that it’s not down to the manager.

Go back to long posts, please.

That's that.

Probably the same, maybe even a place or two lower. We'd have also been top 8-10 the following season though rather than fighting relegation. Agreed. I'm convinced that that 2012/13 season convinced Ashley that Europe was a bad thing. Pardew always used the EL as an excuse for embarrassing performances in the Premier League which Ashley presumably bought, despite the joke summer window we had. Bringing in only Anita, Amalfitano and Bigirimana for an extra 12 games in the season man. Love European nights man, so hope we're back there under Rafa soon.

Not wanting to protest or fight for their club and instead abandoning it and letting it die because "its what the mags do" shows their inferiority complex so much, man. Hilarious. Regarding the question regarding a whip round, wouldn't give the cunts a penny. Rather focus on our own club and our own problems than them pedo loving wankers.

Never won a league or FA Cup game up here. Only won in a League Cup tie after extra time.

On the other hand if we're safe by then and they're down it could be quite the party. Aye, but despite what I've predicted on that table calculator thing it's going to be far closer, we all know it. Unless Slimani can fire in 7+ goals between now and the end of the season. FWIW I predicted Man Utd (h) L Bournemouth (a) W Liverpool (a) L Southampton (h) W Spurs (a) L Huddersfield (h) D Leicester (a) L Arsenal (h) L Everton (a) D WBA (h) W Watford (a) W Chelsea (h) L Doesn't seem too unreasonable when putting them in but our home form suggests it's not going to be that easy.
-
WBA are looking like goners now, like. 5 points below us, only won away from home once and scoring 6 away goals, Chelsea away up next with still Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs to play. Got to go to SJP in their penultimate away game. Sitting through that is going to be pure .
-
Watford somehow have a worse home record than us, christ.
-
Still a bit too optimistic, I feel. And I doubt Watford will slip that far down but predicting result by result is so hilarious once you click calculate.
-
I just went to going either 1-0 either way or 1-1 for a draw, to get it as results based as possible. Pointless predicting the exact scores imo.
-
Aye, I had to rein mine in because my predictions didn't take the points that we have (that I didn't think we'd get) in mind. I think we ended up 11th on 40 points on mine before I went back. 9th on 44 points I had us. Fuck sake.
-
Howay, post a picture. I'll just leave it at the fact that it had us finising 9th.
-
Doing that calculator thing on a gameweek by gameweek basis then hitting calculate and seeing that you're the most delusional optimistic cunt on the planet is a bit harrowing, like.
-
Where've you predicted our wins will come from out of interest? Watford, Huddersfield, Southampton, Bournemouth. Reasonable.
